They pump out DLC with out fixing the core connectivity issues they have had from day one.

Basically if the game mode has alot of players in a small area the server has a stroke and causing rubber banding and lag spikes.....

It's a great game if you like coop play with 40 players or less. The game sucks at King of the hill PvP . It lags and rubber bands far two much to be fun. Sandbox PvP seems to have fewer issues.

GTA 5 is a fun game when it is not freezing or crashing to desktop.

Non stop cussing in single player.

Loading an online session takes far too long.

They need to implement a way to play online with invite only while being able to play a mission then once completed to go back to that invite only session without random people.

GTA 6 needs the ability to play as police officer when you want to. That would add much needed variety.

Unable to edit key bindings. It says that an item is unbound and to recheck my binds. The only key unbound with a red " i " is a bind for the gunslinger and is grayed out (I was playing a hunter) not allowing me to map the key. I am not going to map my Logitech G13 to fit this game's controls. Piss poor experience. Would not recommend this game for any amount of money.

Short version:
Outstanding game!
Worth $40 easily!
Getting the game for $19.99 (via Steam Summer Sale) is a no brainer.

Long version:
I locate a server that has a good ping and join it.
I select U.S. Forces and join a squad needing more players.
I spawning game and use local voice to talk to the squad member in front of me, he greets me with "Hey man, what's up?"

Then the squad leader comes over coms and says to hop in the convoy truck we can ride to the closest squad. The whole squad banters about life and then the truck stops suddenly. The squad leader jumps out of the cab and says he is going to deploy a rally point (spawn beacon).

Then all of a sudden we start taking fire. Bullets start flying through the windshield
(shattering the glass in front of me). I can. Hear the bullets hitting the metal truck bed behind me and ricocheting off with a zing. The bullets are still coming and from all directions nearly missing me in the middle passenger seat. I tried to get out of the vehicle and realize I have to push and hold the key to get out. I run to the closest building (about 20 feet away) before I could get even halfway there an RPG hits the vehicle and it explodes sending shrapnel all around me. I run towards the dark entrance of the small building. My eyes adjust to the dark room and I start clearing it the best I could while still being rattled. Then I see a notification at the bottom middle of my screen notifying me that I'm bleeding. The edges of my screen dim with a throbbing effect. I can hear my guy wincing in pain, I then use in the medical kit to stop the bleeding.

I hear the voices of my squad (over local coms) yelling "suppressing fire!" "Baker is down!". I switch to my M4 (w/ Acog) and go towards the same door I came through. It is now is blinding me with the desert's unrelenting daylight piercing through the doorway of the little building I muster the courage and run through the doorway in hopes to locate and help a nearby squad member. I locate one taking cover behind a wall. I'm relieved someone else is still alive and I'm not alone surrounded by insurgents. Just then a bullet flys by my ear making a sonic crack and then my screen goes black I've been hit I'm bleeding out.

I use coms asking should I respond or wait for a medic. My squad leader responds I'm saying "Wait for a medic! Another squad is on its way to reinforce us and get us back up. I then select wait for a medic. My guys yells out in pain medic!

This what just my first 16 minutes in the game.........

This is the true successor to the mod Project Reality for Battlefield 2 (The last good battlefield game) EA and infinity ward could learn a lot from these game developers.

Outstanding job.

Short version:
Pass! Not worth $15!
There are only 3 public servers. (The rest are locked by password)
The player base is non existent!

This game is not a priority to the team.
If it was why are they not available to work on it?
Why would it take 8 years and counting?

Long version:

In Intel update #004
They state" As most of you are aware, BlackFoot Studios are what is considered indie AF (that's short for as f***, in case you're not as down with the kids as we are). That, of course, means limited personnel and, often, limited time as well. In addition to all the regular development obstacles, availability wasn't great for most of us for the past month or so, resulting in an even bigger delay than expected."

****Reaction to this post****
Either the team cannot show up on a consistent basis and work diligently.
OR
The more likely reason is they are making this as a side project.
This means that this is clearly not priority by solely working on this game full time.
Games are not something you can make on the side like a mod and expect to build a player base or a real profit.

Most likely the team members are not willing to take a pay cut in their salaries by leaving their current job and make this game their full time job.

Either the deployment of this game needs to be a hobby or a job not both.
Currently it pretty clear it's not a priority as development started in 2011 and it still in pre release in 2019.

****About the game play****
The movement in the game and how you interact with guns should be considered pre alpha as of 6/25/2019.

When you fire the M4 Block II the gun jerks up like your player doesn't know how to control the recoil of the little 556 round...
Instead the gun kicks like you are firing a 308 round or a 338 Lapua.....

Optics like red dot pro have a heavy green foggy tint. It is like someone smeared vaseline on the optics glass.
This reduces the ability to see clearly at all. Think of an optic that makes things look almost mosaic.

When you are in the squad room characters and guns are washed out as if the sun in only 100 feet in the sky and shining through the ceiling.

The nail in the coffin is there are only 3 public servers. The rest are locked by password.
The player base is non existent.
I can't blame the players for not sticking around.
This game is coming together as slower than a one guy game company.
Yep, one guy who was head of the mod for BF2 called "Eve of destruction" made a stand alone Vietnam era game in 7 years.

Now that is completely understandable for one man show. This on the other hand is not.

Currently the devs only care about adding new maps and guns rather than fixing the issues in gameplay. Time is a limited resource. Rather than fixing the game that use it on making things for the game. That's the same as spending your last $5,000 to paint a car that has no motor. What use is that? Yeah it looks pretty but you can't use it. (Just like this game.)

Played 4 hours of the Beta and it was ROUGH (I played pre alpha games that were better).
Fast forward to :06/20/2019 Free weekend

After 1 hour it was clear they still have a very long road ahead of them.
This is no where near the fit and finish of Insurgency 1 (610 hrs played so far).

The unreal engine is a resource hog. The coding makes the game feel clunky. Movement in the game is slow and sluggish. They should have went with a different engine. Sadly this game is a big letdown.

It is currently not even worth $20... (06/20/2019)

To the Devs. Make your team look at Insurgency 1 and how you interact with the environment (moving, jumping, running, turning, etc.) There has to be a way to bridge the gap between Insurgency 1 and this....

This might look nicer than Insurgency 1, but that is all that this has over the first game. Game play in the first game is superior. (That is all hardcore gamers truly care about!)
Sure we like nice looking games but if they run like crap or play like crap we don't spend our money on them.

READ:
You are better off with Insurgency 1 (not the mod) if you already own that and want a new game buy "Squad" it is amazing. That team is what every game developer should measure themselves by. They add content but they also fix known issues rather than turing a blind eye to it like the Insurgency team. Sand storm is cash grab and they accidentally let it slip during a livestream during the last free weekend that they are already talking about making their next game while this dumpster is still on fire and they don't care. Greed got to this developers. They were as good as the squad developers while making Insurgency 1. That boat has sailed and now they're copying the infinity Ward model of make a crappy game sell it as quick as possible and move on to the next one rather than fixing the current one.

Buy this over Insurgency Sand Storm!

The best PC game for the money by far! They updated this game ten times more offten than other big name FPS games. (No longer receiving updates) The only thing your be mad about is that you waited until now to purchase this amazing game!

the modding community is what makes this game even better. There's some people out there that are porting sandstorms models as well sounds to this game making it better than it ever was before.

This game was made while the developers actually cared about the product. it wasn't a cash grab it was showing themselves and everyone else they could do better than infinity Ward.

Fast forward to 2019 and they are trying to copy infinity Ward's business model by selling crap such as sand storm and then rushing to the development of the next game title rather than fixing the current one (sandstorm).
