I'm not even quite an hour in and it's a blast.
Fresh, interesting, and fun.

Some of the loops could use a bit more work to be seamless, but it really feels like a lost media DC game or something of the sort. I look forward to see more of what the developer has in store for it!

Also, 30 minutes of streaming it to my friends got three of them to buy it from that alone, so that's something!

It's pretty fun, and I've slapped it on my deck for some short plays in the future. Kinda reminds me of how a DS or PSP game can be built for really quick play, if that makes sense. Boot up, play a mission or two, that kind of thing.

The story's short but sweet and I enjoyed it.

Aiming feels smooth (and can be adjusted fairly easily to fit your preferences, with the option to change the sensitivity of the x axis, y axis, stick threshold...) and movement is quite nice. I have a preference for gamepad in this specific instance.

Graphically, the art style is charming, and there's a plethora of small details to appreciate in every screen I've come across. Each story sequence was very well done, both the large picture cutscenes and the smaller sprite-driven ones. It's got charm in spades and is just fun to look at.

There's a sensible number of mission-specific gimmicks that don't overstay their welcome but do very nicely at adding variety, and I was quite nicely surprised by the vehicle section .

The variety of weapons is fantastic, with each one so far feeling fairly unique even between two things as similar as the starting assault carbine and assault rifle. Special mention goes to the anti-tank mine and its incredible destructive power, and the flamethrower is fun to goof around with, as is the shield.

The music is wonderful and properly carries the action of the scene it's set to, as well.

I'm glad I followed the development. The wait was well worth it. Highly recommended. I look forward to finishing it, having THOROUGHLY played through it, I very much look forward to future games by GRAYFAX!

So, I like it, but conceptually, giving autoaim to the two snipers who can either:
1. Penetrate Shields
or
2. Stay stealthed, with decoys

Is just absolutely baffling. High damage, long engagement range playstyles should not be given the benefit of a targeting system.

This game is difficult, and I can't quite tell if I'm supposed to need to rapidly right-click in order to jump, or if the intention is to only click once and it is malfunctioning in some way.

Regardless, it's cute, entertaining, and I like it.
