From Midgard to the Ends of the Nine Realms – A God of War to Remember
Overall Rating: 10/10
After completing God of War and achieving 100% completion, I can confidently say this game is perfect. From the first swing of the axe to the final moments, I was hooked. It’s one of those rare games that makes you want to keep playing even when the credits roll.

Pros:
  • Graphics: The world looks incredible. Snowy mountains, deep forests, mysterious ruins—it all feels real and alive. Every new area made me want to stop and just look around.
  • Audio: Every sound feels impactful, from the crunch of snow underfoot to the roar of enemies. The music during big moments hit hard and made everything feel even more intense.
  • Combat: Swinging the Leviathan Axe never got old. Throwing it, recalling it, smashing enemies—it just feels amazing. And when the Blades of Chaos enter the mix, the combat opens up even more—fast, fluid, and perfect for tearing through groups of enemies. The different moves and abilities keep battles exciting from start to finish.
  • Story: The journey with Kratos and Atreus is gripping from the start. It’s packed with emotional moments, surprising twists, and a perfect mix of action and quieter, heartfelt scenes.
  • Exploration: The world is full of secrets, puzzles, and hidden paths that made exploring rewarding and fun.
  • Pacing: The game balances combat, exploration, and story moments beautifully. Every section flows naturally into the next, keeping the experience exciting without feeling rushed or dragged out.

Cons:
  • Backtracking: Some places need to be revisited later after you unlock certain abilities, which can slow things down a bit if you just want to push the story forward.
  • Enemy Repeats: A few enemy types show up a lot, but the fights are still fun.

In conclusion, God of War was an extremely fun ride from start to finish. The gameplay is amazing, the world is beautiful, and the story is unforgettable. Every moment felt purposeful, whether I was in the middle of a tense boss fight, solving a puzzle, or just listening to the banter between Kratos and Atreus. By the time the credits rolled, I felt like I had truly been on an epic journey—one filled with triumphs, struggles, and moments that will stick with me for years. This isn’t just a game you play; it’s an adventure you experience and remember. Easily one of the greatest single-player games ever made, and a must-play for anyone who enjoys action, exploration, and an incredible story.

God of War Ragnarök: More Than War, a Story to Remember
Overall Rating: 10/10
After completing God of War Ragnarök and achieving 100% completion, I can honestly say this game is a masterpiece. Having played the previous God of War (2018), I went in with high expectations and Ragnarök not only met them, it surpassed them in every way. From the opening moments to the very end, I was completely absorbed.

Pros:
  • Graphics: Every environment is absolutely gorgeous. From sweeping landscapes to intimate, atmospheric locations, the attention to detail makes the world feel alive and immersive. It’s the kind of game where I often paused just to soak in the view.
  • Audio: The sound design and music is outstanding. Weapons hit with real impact, enemies roar with menace, and the soundtrack perfectly heightens every moment. On top of that, the atmospheric audio—like winds howling through cliffs or water echoing in caverns—adds another layer of immersion that pulled me deeper into the world.
  • Combat: The combat is phenomenal from start to finish. Every weapon feels distinct and powerful, with a wide variety of moves and abilities that make battles fluid, intense, and endlessly satisfying. I never grew tired of experimenting with different approaches in every fight.
  • Storytelling: Without spoiling anything, Ragnarök delivers a story that’s epic in scale yet personal in its heart. The character arcs are beautifully written, and the balance between thunderous battles and quieter, emotional scenes is masterfully handled.
  • Exploration: The game is filled with secrets, puzzles, and hidden challenges that reward curiosity. Finishing everything didn’t feel like work—it felt like uncovering treasures in a world brimming with surprises.
  • Pacing: Every element—combat, exploration, and story—flows naturally. The game always feels engaging, without dragging or rushing any part of the experience.

Cons:
  • Valhalla DLC: It’s incredible that this expansion was released for free, and it offers plenty of fun with its combat-focused structure. However, it can become repetitive after a while, and the story doesn’t quite reach the heights of the main game. That said, the core combat is still so enjoyable that I kept coming back for more.

In conclusion, God of War Ragnarök isn’t just a sequel, it’s a perfect continuation and expansion of everything that made the previous game special. The journey feels truly epic, yet personal in ways that stick with you long after the credits roll. From heart-pounding battles to quiet, reflective moments, every part of this game is crafted with care and purpose. By the time I hit 100%, I wasn’t just satisfied, I was blown away. This is more than a game; it’s an unforgettable adventure that raises the bar for single-player storytelling and gameplay. A must-play, and easily one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had in gaming.
