A very solid game with an art style and soundtrack that I love. The game play loop is also really addicting and it really is impressive how many units, heroes and spells are in this game. However, the biggest flaw is the difficulty. I'm no stranger to difficult games and I honestly wouldn't mind learning all the mechanics this game has to offer. But as it stands the game just feels super unfair every time. As others have stated it really feels like your oppnent doesn't play by the same rules you do. Or at least gets a huge head start. Outside of the tutorial, it does not have any interest in helping you grow and develop a play style, which is ironic considering how flexible its systems are, yet there's only one ACTUAL way to play if you wanna win. And you can lose QUICK. By week 3, if you still haven't figured out how to manage your resources exactly how you need to, the CPU will steam roll you with hundreds of units that it was somehow able to achieve before you. This is especially prevalent in matches with more than 3 players. If 2 captains are standing right next to each other while they're on your land. They wont even try to attack each other and just end up teaming up against you with no hope for retaliation. There were plenty of times where I thought maybe I wasn't doing things properly and kept giving it a chance but no, for some reason it is like this by design. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the developer is interested in making any changes to the difficulty either. There is absolutely a lot to love here, but the artificial "difficulty" kills any fun you can have.

Although this game might have many technical problems due to its age, once you get everthing right, this game is amazing. In my eyes, it's a masterpeice.

Well at least there's no micro-transactions.
