I've been playing with a little trick to use my old arenanet account here, you just have to put in the steam launch settings -provider Portal including the - and you can launch the launcher from outside.

The game is great, I really like that there is no excessive grinding, that most things are linked to the account and thus not having to perform certain achievements a thousand times to get certain cosmetics with each character, they respect your time a lot as player .

More than an MMO I would call it a cooperative RPG, if you like PVP it also has it and the world versus world with a commander in command is the most epic thing I have played in an MMO.

Highly recommended.

Edit: I am 1300ish hours in the game now. 800ish something on their launcher and the rest here.

Now let's talk more about it, first, a lot of people can be pretty critic about the fact that the game is old and doesn't work 'perfectly' even on the best machines. But hear me out, this game was stale and they changed their direction quite a bit since a couple of years ago, for example, they changed their API from directX9 to Directx11 and they said they want to go for Vulkan in the future, they added many more graphic options in the latest patch, etc etc.

Another thing that they changed is the way they are going to add content in the future, from Expansion - Living world (those are like mini-free expansions of content to add story etc) - expansion every 2 years or so, now it's a yearly expansion that have more content added every three months.

So the game is trying to get updated and also get more ways of getting money by also adding more and more content into their Store.

Which only means the game is trying to get more developed and go forwards, so I am excited for the next DLC and what-not !
