Pros:
- Optimization is fantastic. Game runs buttery smooth and looks great on widescreen.
- The world is truly breathtaking in detail and fidelity.
- The combat feels weighty and fun, and is pretty customizable to your individual tastes.
- The wealth of systems to interact with is pretty neat.
- Extremely proactive and responsive development team, Pearl Abyss is nailing their patch cadence and responsiveness to player concerns

Cons
- Occasional jank (kind of expected, nothing game breaking, just annoying)
- Focus to talk or look at specific items takes some getting used to as it feels clunky at first

Seriously great game.

Posting this review because I often see this game alongside the likes of other ARPG's like Diablo and Path of Exile. I think the industry needs to come up with a differentiator - because it seems that the developers for this game, like GGG with Path of Exile 2, seem to think that the "evolution" of the ARPG genre is basically making dodge+hit gameplay (like dark souls/elden ring) but with an isometric camera view. It's fine if that's something you enjoy, but just know before going in that it's not necessarily comparable to games like PoE 1, Diablo 2-4, etc.

The world design is pretty. The music is nicely done. The art style is a bit off feeling but it grows on you a bit. I just personally wasn't expecting it to be the game it was considering the games it's mentioned in the same breath as. Make sure you're actually seeking this type of game before you buy.

Absolutely incredible. Took me 11 hours for my first playthrough, but I enjoyed every second. Give season 2!

it's awesome and i hate it

Really good. I've spent 40 hours so far and haven't gotten to endgame. Just base building, exploring, and grinding materials/doing quests. The world is pretty cool to get lost in.

It has a certain amount of jank that I'll deduct a few points for, but nothing crazy.

85/100.

Violently French.
Violently amazing in every facet. Going to be this or KCD2 for GOTY for me, and it's a hard choice.
