What other game can you make a colony of fire breathing vampires who are linked to a swarm of ultra mech robots while your little tykes follow you into battle and watch in rapt attention?

REALLY enjoying this. Played 14 hours straight on EA release and it only felt like a few hours cause of how engrossing it is. Only a few minor bugs so far but already level 4 (of 6 in EA) and my chars feel really good. So far the world 'exploration' is only a real straight forwards path where you're following a story line. Hoping to eventually see more options of where you're allowed to go (even if not open world) on release, etc. Overall though, in some ways I think this will even give BG3 a run for it's money.

A ton of fun, even though you KNOW you're gonna die horribly sooner rather than later. Can't WAIT to see what modding and other fun things bring to this game in the future!

Update: Many Years later and many hours later.. and this is defintely one of my fave games. I always eagerly await new updates and was so happy to see the game finally go gold after all this time. The game is definitely better with friends as well. Can't wait to see where it goes from here!

It's been a Long Wait.. but Alpha 17 finally! Been looking forwards to this for awhile and excited to see if it's been done justice or not!

This is one of those games that dies down for awhile.. then an update comes along and suddenly it's a mad dash to gather your friends and get the server up and running again to try out all the new zombie-killin, base-building, loot-finding goodness. Last update was a really nice one but the vehicle update that's being worked on is one myself and many friends have been dying for.. (no pun intended).

Really wanted to try this game out but all attempts to START the game failed for me. Black Screen w/top right quarter a dark blue where video attempts to play. Dark blurry text appears as the audio starts and a voice begins speaking. Hitting a key to escape the opening results in the dark blue box staying there. ESC key is the only thing that does anything, and then it only brings up a bright blue square in the center of the dark blue screen where ENTER closes out the game. File Verification repeatedly says 15 files need reacquired.. but they never download and show up every time upon re-verification of files. Searched forums and found more instances of this problem but none of them were addressed besides vague attempts to guess what games on similar engine (Life is Feudal) had to do to work (turning off NVIDIA Experience, etc) None of these worked. Firewall off didn't work.. so I gave up and refunded. A real shame cause this game had the early makings to sound like quite a bit of fun :(

First off let me state the music is that epic style of space cowboy that makes me think of Firefly or Cowboy Bebop. That said, you can add your own music library to the game while playing to cruise around space and battle pirates to which is something I wish more games had.

The gameplay brings back fond memories of games like Freelancer and really scratches that itch for space combat/exploration that No Man's Sky fell flat on. Maybe it's nostalgia tinged but I've had a great time with this game so far after only 10-11 hours of playing straight in my first session. I just lost track of time, put myself into the universe and pew-pew'd away at the pirate scum of the galaxy.

The story does seem a bit thin from what I've seen so far, but I think the openness to just cruise around taking bounties and running goods between planets for credits and upgrades is a joy all it's own.

Amazing game. 80+ hours into the game and still have a ton of quests to do, places to explore and dragons to kill, lol. PC community has been awesome and even without the creation kit, there are some amazingly good mods already available if you look around. I've pushed the games limits on graphics up to max and while nice, I've found the high res graphics and enhanced audio mods to be a very cool upgrade that puts me inside an amazingly immersive enviornment. The crack of thunder during a storm, the rushing water coming down a waterfall and foaming as it breaks over rocks as it streams away. While I do have to say the controls take a bit of getting used to, once they're mastered, combat and exploration are loads of fun.

Overall, on a personal level, this is one of very few games that scores a 10/10 with me. Yes there are a few minor probs but they are countered by such a huge number of great aspects that in the end I can discount them. From this point on, it only gets better!
