Pretty solid VN so far. E-mote does indeed make it look really smooth. There's a lot of body movement for VN characters (think hands, arms, boobs) and facial expressions as well. It's very lively and aims to be funny. The dialogue may seem a little bit childish at times, though. This game is comparable to Go! Go! Nippon! in a way that they both tell you some informational/interesting stuff about Japan's culture or history inbetween character interaction, but it doesn't go as deep. For example, it doesn't tell you how to get to certain places, how much certain things costs, where to get a Suica card, etc. The main focus are the three girls.

What's nice, though, is that it has multiple text options as it says in the description. If you're learning Japanese, this is extremely useful. What's even better is that the 3 main girls are fully voiced, so you can hear them talk Japanese and at the same time have the text in the chat menu display in English or Romaji and the additional text (in the top left corner of the screen) display in Japanese or hiragana (or any other combination of the 4).

However, if you're not learning Japanese, or you're already extremely good at speaking/reading it, the price might seem a little too high. Overall, as somebody who recently started learning Japanese, I do recommend this game and I'm very sure I can learn quite a few things from it.

Even though this game isn't in early access mode anymore, I'm pretty sure it isn't 100% finished yet. At least, I hope so. If you're really, really into sword fighting games, you might like this game, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. So far, this game kept getting slower and slower. For example, you used to be able to jump high into the air and, even though it wasn't very polished yet, it did have a lot of potential. But now they made it so that you're barely able to jump over a curb anymore.

Okay, I get that that's just one of my preferences and there are probably some people who actually prefer jumping to be almost completely removed, except for triggering Air attacks, but there's a better reason for not playing this game: It has NO singleplayer mode (nor multiplayer PvE of any kind), which means that it's exclusively PvP. The problem is that there's just barely anybody to actually play against. You can literally run this game, check the server list, and see a maximum of about 11 people playing. On the same server. Which might be an American server too. Which isn't a very good thing if you're in Europe yourself. This game just doesn't get advertised, enough. It sometimes does have a small amount of people playing it, like right after the game goes on sale, but eventually people keep leaving and leaving until it's just the same handful of people who still play it consistently.

My conclusion:

If you're really into a game that exclusively offers you PvP sword fighting (with a little bit of dress up) and you don't care about any additional content, you might enjoy playing it for a while.

If you're just "curious" or think it "might be interesting" to you, I wouldn't recommend it, even if it's solely because of the almost non-existent player base.

(On a side note: I don't hate the developers of this game. I don't know that much about them, but they appear to be friendly people who really do care about their small playerbase, and even host small, official tournaments every now and then, with a unique item reward. I just don't think every update has been for the best.)

You can jump and walk to the left or to the right, and it takes about 5 minutes to beat. After that, you can play the same thing again.

If you like Action RPG's and care more about a good challenge which focuses solely on skilled gameplay, I'd definitely recommend this game. The only downside is that, at some points, it does require you to kill a few extra monsters for some additional levels, in order to make boss fights more 'fair', but it's not bad enough to be called a grindfest. This game (on Nightmare mode, with the last character) is probably the hardest game I've ever finished.

I might just be enjoying this game more than I should, but it's still great. The story's kind of short, especially when you get the gameplay and methods down quickly, and it's also very confusing on your first playthrough (assuming you don't collect every single puzzle piece). The unique gameplay and extreme replayability way more make up for this, though. I do recommend trying to get as many, if not all, achievements, to occupy yourself with. Overall; amazing and unique game with a very good soundtrack.
