Really cool game. Xanadu Next's an encapsulation of everything great the JRPG action genre can bring to the table. It's simple combat micro loop keeps you engaged as you're always dodging around and finding enemy's backs to exploit, while the depth of RPG mechanics keeps you satisfied with needing to swap in better or more appropriate gear for the situation at hand.

Things take a little getting used to, since it is quite an older game... But honestly it just works.

This is definitely a hidden gem. It may not be the prettiest, polished, or enthralling out there but its worth checking out!

All in all a fun idler with quite alot of free deals, events and updates to keep you logging back in - complexity in team building is kind of there, but only really at higher stages. Has tons of places to click around and gather rewards

translations are a little weak and hastily done. intuition on what something means > whats actually written on screen

It's the best game ive played in recent memory

Tries to be like Resident Evil 4, and succeeds, but maybe 10 years too late for what you get. is actually exactly what you would have expected a RE4 clone would have looked like in glory days of the xbox 360

SOLID 7/10 with many things wrong and a few things very right

i can say this game is good with confidence since i played on lowest settings for 10 hours and was still fiending out to play more while in the shower with the music stuck in my head

Really bad game. Long loading times, incredibly buggy, terrible gunplay, full of wannabe streamers and kids. 1/10 for the idea, and because steam wouldnt give me a refund :(

Teedus and friends slap up monsters, laugh hysterically and cry over daddy being gone, all within a wet dream.

A modern shooter that isnt total garbage. Difficulty varies even on Death incarnate meaning some parts are way too easy and others you find yourself dying without much hope. Its a good game but the story is just american propaganda, 6/10 gameplay with very interesting environments and alot of story/cutscenes. It aint bad.

The gameplay isnt bad, the narrative of the MC isnt bad, but everything else doesnt hold it together well at all.

pick it up if youre bored and like swinging around with a grappling hook, flying around the map with a unique form of bunnyhopping and using rocketboots

I don't see where the hate for this game comes from, it sticks to the Devil may cry series ridiculous action sequences and mood, with fluid gameplay, style PACKED combat and a wide variety of environments it plays well, is fun as hell and contains 2 solid campaigns.

The main story was great, every boss on the first run felt daunting and exciting, I'd probably even prefer this to MGR if this had the timeslow hack into bits mechanic MGR had.

Only negative aspects for me are the overused consoley sections. Like platforming with the hooks/boosts, but they're bearable.

Solid 8/10 on my strict scale. VERY recommended if you're a fan of action and fun.
