In general a good strategy game and a hom(m)age to the classics. There's a lot to enjoy. Plenty of depth, Strategy and snowballing. I particularily like the choices when leveling up and the choices on upgraded units. However, in my opinion they went a bit overboard on the amount of mechanics. Particularily law points, astrology points and focus points seem to make the game more convoluted than necesary.

I've had the most fun playing the campaign. AI was not very smart but considering a lot of the campaign is scripted, it didn't matter that much. However, after playing two normal games, I've learned how bad AI actually is. They make really bad choices, have weird pathing and slow city development, even on hard difficulty. Yet somehow they still manage to generate an ungodly amount of units in no-time at all. They seem to just generate units out of thin air despite their poor choices. The AI is cheating, and that almost made me give this game a thumbs down.

Loving it

underplayed for sure. If you like RP and Strategy and the witcher world you'll love this game. Excellent writing too
