Felt the need to write a review due the review bombing Palia is receiving. I started playing Palia since the first days of Beta, at my pace and without ever feeling the urge to log in and do contents because they were exclusive time-gated events (do you hear me, Genshin Impact?). I truly love Palia, it's a small colorful and relaxed world where I can play my own story and de-stress from real life chores. If you love games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, here you'll probably find a home.
The characters are nice and some of them really funny (Badruu and his agricultural jokes always spread hapPEAness), the farming is satisfying and each type of crop give specific bonus to others around them, so you can enjoy min-maxing your garden plot), each step of cooking is made of minigames and you can build your dream house with a lot of furniture choices.
The game IS STILL IN BETA, but it has improved a lot from day 1, and today's patch is a proof. The devs bring new patches at their own pace, and yes, they usually break things, sometimes big (last time they temporary extincted muujins), sometimes small. But again, this is a beta f2p game, and it somewhat encourage you to take it easy and enjoy the game at its pace and its flaws.
Palia is totally f2p, you pay for outfits which don't give you benefits, and yeah they cost really too much.
Just try it, don't stop at the reviews.

First game: Ed dies before being cured by the doctor.

Second game: Ed gets healed, dies after a car accident.

Third game: kept the bastard inside the house, all the time. Maya dies ripped by a zombie.
5/5, would restart again to see marcus die by food poisoning.

Se avete amato Harvest Moon, non dovete lasciarvi scappare questo gioco. Non consideratelo nè un clone, nè una copia, il gioco ricalca varie meccaniche, ma mantiene una sua personale identità e una grande profondità. Grandi possibilità di rigiocabilità.

Si discosta enormemente dai sui predecessori, probabilmente anche a causa dell'assenza degli sviluppatori originali della Remedy. Ambientazione brasiliana veramente discutibile, e il senso di estraneazione è massimo dopo aver giocato le sequenze ambientate in location e atmosfere molto più simili a MP1 e MP2 (bellissime!). A parte questo, la scarsa longevità, e l'assenza del doppiaggio italiano (Giorgio Melazzi, dove sei?), il gioco è veramente bello. Peccato però per l'assenza delle sequenze narrative a fumetti...!
La grafica e la fisica sono stupende (non da meno il comparto audio), la trama è molto interessante e ingarbugliata al punto giusto. Alle sparatorie infinite con bullet time e al solito "vecchio" Max si aggiunge il nuovo sistema di copertura, che aiuta non poco negli scontri più bollenti. Il multiplayer è vario (sistema a livelli, perks, customizzazione del personaggio e dell'equipaggiamento) e ha il suo potenziale, ma il matchmaking è pessimo, e ci si ritroverà spesso contro avversari che non lasceranno scampo, causando una discreta dose di frustrazione (e un più che discreto dubbio di avere davanti cheater della peggior specie).

Un capolavoro che diverte ancora, dopo tutti questi anni, come il primo giorno. Community ancora attiva.

Musiche meravilgiose, grafica spettacolare, personaggi unici e veramente divertenti!
Consigliato al 100%!!

Rpg con combattimenti a turni, enormi eserciti fra cui scegliere, musiche spettacolari, grafica coloratissima e un intero mondo da esplorare!

Per chi ama i giochi Horror puro, è un Must da non lasciarsi scappare, come tutti gli altri giochi targati Frictional Games
