This is not a game. I say this with full love and respect, it's an exquisite little cartoon that you're thrown right in the middle of and it's perfect for it. I loved it. My Summer Car is the quintessential Finnish game and I'd like to state wholeheartedly that I think that this is THE English game. It captures the humour of that mad little country perfectly.

You owe it to yourself to play this, it's bloody brilliant.

This game is so good that I bought a 3ds just so that I could play it wherever and whenever I want.
It may be one of the best games ever made.

I passed my driving test right before moving to the big city for 2 years and was really nervous that I had forgotten how to drive due to my lack of experience so I bought this game with a logitech wheel and gearbox. I drove irl a week later and had absolutely no issues even on the motorway.

10/10 this game gave me the confidence to get back onto the open road.

An absolutely gorgeous little indie delight that took my mind off the dullness of the covid-19 lockdown for an evening.
Short but sweet and it goes places that I (and I doubt anyone) anticipated. I'm also a huge horror fan and suffer from thalassophobia (fear of deep bodies of water) so it scratched that very particular part of my brain.

For those reasons I highly recommend it

Well done, you're now on the level of Total War Warhammer 2 and Crusader Kings 2 (what is it about 2s?). You've sold me on your format and now all you must do is keep making levels and unlockable items and I shall keep playing this series forever. You may have perfected the stealth genre with this so just keep throwing content my way and I'll keep throwing money yours. Deal? Deal.

This game is both phenomenal and highly troubling.

You will do things you never thought your morality would allow. You'll assasinate siblings, uncles, infants and friends. You'll burn heretics, blind foes and cheat innocents out of their dynastic destinies. You'll castrate courtiers and ship them off to China for political protection. You'll marry off your own mother to cruel, disfigured warlords and auction off your kindly daughters to savage brutes for political alliances. You'll find yourself screaming 'DEUS VULT' or 'ALLAHU ACKBAR' while slaughtering heretics and infidels despite your real world religious beliefs. You'll father countless trueborn heirs, bastards and children of concubines plunging the world into never ending civil wars for years to come.

You will do all of these things and more just to get yourself higher on that never ending ladder of power or merely for your own amusement.

Behold, Crusader Kings 2.

So before everyone goes bananas over the DLC policy I will say that it's a promising change that there isn't the unit and portrait content pack being sold seperately, instead being included with this so props to Paradox for that.

To address those that will complain about the DLC pricing, I feel like this is one of those games that you have to be on the train at this point. I was able to get the base game and the available dlcs for 40 pounds at the time I first discovered it and I've honestly not minded giving Paradox 11 or so pounds each time they want to add new things to this game, giving me more reasons and ways to play this masterpiece. I've also managed to snag a lot of the game's content during sales so this fantastic game isn't hidden behind a massive paywall all the time.

Now that that's out of the way, I can't wait to check out the new Casus Bellis, especially the 'Return Prisoner' option that I believe will enhance the roleplaying tenfold. I know it's foolish to review a game before you've played it but this was more a note on how the community freaks out and gives these dlcs thumbs down ratings regardless of their quality.

Now back to bedding my cousin and snipping off my court dwarf's baby makers.
