Neversong is a beautiful game with great themes of both melancholy and just downright strangeness, the kind that accompanies those long nightmares we all have and would rather soon forget. The game is indeed short, around 2-3 hours for one run and probably 5 if you do New Game+, but it's an enjoyable run and I would say it is worth the money.

The music and graphics are good, and almost all of the characters have great voice acting that really brings them to live. Bonus points for the voice for Dr. Smile, who genuinely creeped me out every time he spoke.

In terms of gameplay, it's a fairly tight platformer. I had some issues with some of the platforming: some of the jumps felt like it required a bit *too* much precision, and none of it was infuriating to the point of making me want to quit, but it is frustrating to see the solution and just not be able to execute the solution. Other than the occasional jump feeling too unforgiving, the game was great. I may go back in for the New Game+ run, it was fun enough to do so, but I would definitely recommend playing the game at least once.
