It's the best $3 I've ever spent.

It's really "yes and no". It's slightly too ambitious. I say slightly because the developers seem to know that and have granulated the difficulty for you. You can ratchet the difficulty all the way up, provided you've beaten the game once. This, combined with the really exaggerated relationship system, makes this game feel like they've forced replayability in a way that shows they don't really get it. That said, achievements were added to the game and now I've clocked way too many hours trying to get them, so what do I know?

Rub everything on everything else! This woefully uninspired point-and-click does nothing to solve the problem of not being able to think exactly like the developers. The most progress made through the game only happens after you've performed every possible rub-things-on-other-things permutation. The unplayablility of the game is only exacerbated by the annoying voice acting and cliche dialouge. I get the nostalgia feels because a lot of games in the 90's were like that, but that in and of itself is especially telling.

It's still got all the same problems. You can't aim reliably, bullets go for separate vacations without telling you, and the AWP still exists. Maybe if the reticles served a purpose, I wouldn't want to decapitate the programers and ♥♥♥♥ down their necks.

If I need a cathardic, zombie-sweeping experience, this is where I go. And it's not that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: Left 4 Dead. The guns actually do damage, the game doesn't just randomly decide that you lose (well, sometimes...), and you can play with more than three of your friends. You get levels, bigger guns, a better game engine...it has everything!

Oh, and they're not even zombies. They're "specimens". Storywise, we get a little flavor, instead of the same-old, same-old.

This one is my favorite of the Final Fantasy series. Now, I get achievements for playing it. This is everything I've wanted.

This is one of the best games I've ever played. Communication is key and if you're part of a robust online community, then the missions are smooth, yet still challenging.
