I always thought the “Man, this game is like a movie” quote from fans was really stupid, and that it had to be an exaggeration. That was until I played Night Raid on Dam, and went through the most absolute cinema moment that took place in the span of five minutes at the tail end of the match with gankers, Rocketeers, Hornets, and Bastions all hitting us constantly consecutively one after the other. The fact that we survived and extracted is insane pure luck.

Ever since that match, I’ve been completely immersed. I don’t even care if I lose anymore; the feeling alone makes it worth it, especially with free loadouts. I love how loot just accumulates and you find yourself snowballing with loot and you don't have to use the free stuff anymore

This is the best extraction shooter I’ve played.

Act 1 and the beginning of Act 2 were great, however the game started to fall off story/content wise after the 15 hour mark which is really disappointing. They kept introducing plot hooks that led nowhere and it felt like the player lost agency after Act 1 and became a "yes/no" protagonist that does fetch quests for everyone.

Most of the plot hooks don't matter at all and aren't even a part of the main story which solely focuses on Arthur after Act 1, and instead become side quests that are hard to find/not worth doing.

The ending was a disappointment with them constantly drilling into your head two options throughout the game only for you to be presented a secret third option that makes everything else pointless, because why wouldn't you pick the literal answer to all of your problems? Why would you just suddenly introduce this ending RIGHT AT THE END???? It's stupid and disregards all of the buildup, not to mention the lack of dialogue near the end that ties up loose ends!!! Characters betray their personalities to serve as boss fights, IE Dragon Age 2 Mage ending with the "Well erm actually he's gonna turn into a big monster because it needs to be epic!" which is a drag and ruins any character building.

Also pisses me off how they kept having level designs heavily inspired by Zdzisław Beksiński, who is my favorite horror artist, but never actually went into detail about WHY it's in the game, so it only exists for fluff. That cool coffin area with King Arthur? No explanation, it just looks like that because it's cool. It's meaningless. The Wyrdness has no real meaningful explanation, neither does the plague, it's all derivative hooey disguising itself as deep! They in no way try to keep both of those things throughout the story and focus fully on Arthur himself, which is a very 2 dimensional character masked with "flaws" that a 4th grader would write. It feels like a Arthurian Legend fanfic! They also try to pull several twists on you that fall flat on their faces, leaving much to be wanted.

The gameplay was good at the start but then power creep came in and everything gets bulldozed. Item level requirements are bullcrap and not scaled correctly, and the game is just you going back and forth either on foot or on horseback. I ended up focusing solely on endurance and spirituality and blew up everything with my hands just so it could all be done quickly.

At the end of my 20.9 hours of gameplay I found myself rushing to the finish line to get it over with.

Also it has AI art, which is a huge deal breaker for some, but I didn't notice this until act 2 when I was looking at a mural that had a bunch of strange looking fingers and a bunch of generative image artifacts, and I had no idea what I was looking at. People say that there is no AI art, because there would be a label on the Steam store, but the AI ♥♥♥♥ in this game is very unnoticeable and I'm pretty sure it flew under the radar.

Despite all this, it does feel like it started as a passion project, but it ended with no clear direction of where they wanted that project to be. A solid 5/10. It just feels like a very elaborate and standalone Skyrim mod. I suggest people play Enderal instead if they want what this game promises but fails to deliver.

Activision is spying on its players via DLL files that have 24/7 access to your cameras. They also track which skins you purchase and alter the matchmaking system to be in your favor depending on the money you've spent. They actively spy on you, use facial recognition to see your reactions to content they have in the store and in general, treating YOU like Pavlov's dog. They're also training AI on your system.

This is the Half-Life 2 (gameplay wise) of the current generation. I don't know how but even though I only have 6 hours in so far it's sucked me in, I feel like I've been playing this game for hundreds of hours, it's truly one of the best FPS experiences I've had in a decade.

GSC Game World shows that you don't need to be a big bustling AAA megacorp studio with thousands of employees to deliver something that sets a whole new bar when it comes to platforming, FPS, and open world. These guys have been through hell to make this game and it's shocking that it's here and is even better than I thought it would be.

I can't put into words how awful this game is. I'm convinced most of the people here are new to the series or simply couldn't be moved to care, like at all. This game betrays everything the Dragon Age series was with a cheap, fake imitation.

If you told me this was your favorite game I would actually think less of you, that's how bad this is.

Trick Weekes needs to quit their job and go flip burgers. All that moron does is fail upwards like a gaming industry executive in an industry that throws actually talented writers in the gutter.

I wish this review counted as five-thousand negative ones. ♥♥♥♥ this game.

I hate this game. Having finished it after it released, it just sucks. It's everything a Bethesda game isn't. It lacks everything that every game had. It's a shell, a soulless horrible shell of nothing.

I tried to play again for the DLC but it kept experiencing memory leakage and would halfway crash my computer. When I got through all of that, the DLC quest didn't even activate. Waste of time, waste of money.

It'll be a cold day in hell when Bethesda actually makes something that's as good as Skyrim, or hell, even Fallout 4, ever again.

Screw Bethesda.

Edit: Came back for the Armada DLC. And again, I ended up uninstalling before I even started the first quests for it. The game is still bland and lifeless with no meaning. It's actually kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up at this point. Man.

"Hmmm so Starfield was a total mess that we really shouldn't repeat, it lost to BG3 and despite good sales it wasn't received well. Maybe it only sold well because of the company name attached to it? Maybe we should try to do better for the fans."

"You want to know what would fix it? If we ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up even more and gave people nothing."

It's just boring and the matches last too long for how unintuitive the gameplay is. The idea is very unique and genius but the execution is poor
