Overall it's a 5/10 and that's being a bit generous. Won't tread on what's already been said on this game, but I feel a negative review is warranted just for the price alone. In 5 1/2 hours I got all but the new game + achievement, with guides I'd add so that did cut down on the time a decent bit.

Long story short if this were priced the same as Dishonored 1's Side DLCS, which are 1000x better and the best part of the series in my opinion, I'd still struggle to raise my score, but atleast I wouldn't feel as..... disgusted? ONLY get this on sale for $4.99 or less, otherwise it's definitely not worth the money.

As much as it pains me to say this I cannot recommend this game ON STEAM SPECIFICALLY, or PC for that matter. NVIDIA has broken Phys X support to the point Batman Arkham Asylum, and City to my knowledge, to where they're barely functional on PC anymore.

It's a 9.5/10 game in my opinion, only hurt by the a few of the combat challenges I just personally find entirely unfun due to the sheer amount of points you have to acquire in Sewer Bat (Extreme) and Rumble In the Jungle (Extreme). Lower both of these down by 10k score and I wouldn't have a problem with the rest of the challenges.

The riddler trophies aren't too bad except for the ones locked behind the Ultra Batclaw that require retracting through basically the entire game because they decided to place these are the very end of every section in the map.

If you're wanting to play this game, and you should. The entire quadrilogy is a must-play for anyone, atleast giving Arkham Asylum at the minimum a full playthrough. Please play this through either on RPCS3 or on console. These ports have abandoned software that I doubt with NVIDIA's current climate will ever be fixed. If you don't mind throwing your head at a wall for 5+ hours these are technically playable, but it'll depend on your patience with IT if you can get these to run at all.

Lastly this is missing an exclusive DLC from PlayStation 3 'Play as The Joker', somewhat disappointing, but thankfully, if you can get the game to function at all, there is a mod to port it over to PC.

Firstly, a lot of these levels are great conceptually, however its obvious this DLC was never play tested in any capacity, especially all of the achievements, but even so just getting three stars on these are a mess.

Positives:
Burglar is the only thing I could ever see myself coming back to in any regard on another playthrough of the game. Learning the enemy's patrols and how they change after removing another guard was a fun puzzle to solve. However, even with the good map design and enemy routes the points required on the expert difficulty are poorly explained and require a guide to understand how the points are calculated.

Neutral:
Oil Drops, Train Runner, and Kill Cascade are extremely easy and whilst they're okay on a singular run they provide almost nothing to make the player come back. Not bad but honestly if they were removed outright nothing would be lost.

Negatives:
Everything else, but especially Bend Time Massacre and Kill Chain. These are filled with a cascade of oversights and bugs to the point getting the Time Management achievement is nearly impossible due to reliance on pure rng to get you through. Only advice I could give is read a lot of guides and watch a lot of videos for any insight people learned over the years.

Again all of the Misc achievements are just flatout terrible and demish the experience overall. Although, even if all of them were removed but Void Star I don't think it'd save this DLCs reputation.

Lastly, I wish the game clearly explained how scores were calculated. I've done levels multiple times over just due to point multipliers not being applied properly and instead of timing my kills (say 500 points times 6) it'd instead add in my 500 points and then multiple a score of 20 times 8. Extremely frustrating and run ending instantly.

Overall it's hard to give this DLC anything but a 1/10 and that's being generous. Again it's hard to understate how poorly designed these are to a point I can't believe it was pushed out at all. Honestly it brings the whole game's score down for me as this just left a sour taste in the wake of an otherwise near masterpiece of a game.

Launch Review: I get the server issues on day 1, I get it. However, what I don't get is forcing this game to be online only. The previous two PAYDAY games weren't online only and it worked great. So much of this game just feels like a step back from PAYDAY 2, even at launch, which came out in 2013.

Dlc 1 Review: Overall in a much better state, put 75 hours in at launch of this Dlc. Still lacks major Qol features and a quickly dating ui and menus. Dlc also costs way to much, will not be buying it at current price. Will be waiting for at least a 30% off sale. Still cannot recommend PD3, when PD2 and PDTH exist; both having less issues and more polish.

Edit: Apparently you can just buy the Pre-Order Bonus now. What a middle finger to those who supported the game in a completely broken and unfinished state. Really hard to care about a franchise and people who don't care about you back (or atleast attempt to trick you into thinking that)

Your data and safety isn't a priority for Activision, and the game is unsafe to play. If you plan to play the game online with friends DO NOT BUY IT. Then they took down the BOIII client with a cease and desist letter as of writing this post. Learn more watching MrTLexify's video here

Don't normally make reviews, but this was such an exceptional game I felt like I needed to. The gameplay is very inspired by Portal, which isn't a bad thing by any means, however where the game stands out from Portal is through it's exceptional and fun characters and it's interesting story. Easily a 9.5/10. Only reason I wouldn't give it a 10/10 is I ran into a few bugs, non game breaking though, and they could easily be fixed in a few patches.
