I went into this game unsure what to expect as the reviews were somewhat mixed. I really have enjoyed it overall after putting in over 65 hours. This game has rough edges, but the core is solid in my opinion. When i say rough edges, i refer to like the voice acting, which many people have commented on. It's... weird. It doesn't fit for the situation happening at times. Though to be fair, they could have not done it at all, so i guess something is better than nothing. They just released a big update, so development is continuing, which was another thing people were concerned about. The graphics are decent, but not perfect. I really like the gameplay, despite the grind. it has solutions to different issues. can't find that component when out on patrol? maybe you can buy it from the shop. want to roll for a better gun module? trade in your old ones. NOTE: don't get greedy. the more you try to take on recovery day, the more likely you will fail and have wasted hours grinding. Big rewards equal big risk.

nice follow up to the first game. the first game was better overall in my opinion, but then again, it can be hard to follow up on a great game because the bar is already so high. if you liked subnautica, you should like this one as well.

This soundtrack is awesome. I forgot I had it, and I downloaded it to listen while at work. Sooooo good. So atmospheric. I kept picturing myself in the water like I was playing the game.

This game had me hooked. i can't believe i hadn't played it sooner!! i really enjoyed the story and figuring out what was going on. It looked really good too, though i probably am a bit biased running this on a 3090 with pretty much maxed settings. Emily's face was a bit... off-putting though. i liked how there were a lot of objects that were destructible and was impressed on how things splintered and broke apart. very cool physics system. it only took me 35 hours to complete the game 100%, but it was worth every penny. highly recommend this game. It reminded me of the TV show Warehouse 13 in a lot of ways, since the game is centered around these "Objects Of Power".

I got this game on sale after reading and hearing about it so much. it was very enjoyable. the atmosphere and immersion are very nice. i really liked the art style and the music. trying to figure things out was half the fun as the game doesn't give you a ton of information in direct ways. you have to figure out a fair amount of stuff just by exploring. This can also be a disadvantage as you spend a lot of time going in circles because there is no direct map. You kind of need to build your own map using beacons(item you can craft) to mark specific areas. Didn't realize this was really helpful until 2/3 of the way through the game. it helps orient you when moving across the map from one area to the next.
only con would be the graphical glitches for me. pop ins and some fish floating through areas they shouldn't be at times... nothing too major, but it was noticeable.

ok so here is how i see xcom at the moment-- great game but it needs a little polishing/bug fixing

good storyline so far- i like how they are now a resistance and the aliens won- it makes the game pretty dang hard
like the upgrade system a lot
good new skills
concealment-good for setting ambushes
MODS MODS MODS AND MORE MODS!!!!!!!!! there was mod support straight from launch

there was a mod for a mistake i made and i honestly played the game wrong at first not realizing about the communications towers and stuff needing to be built to add increased communication to get more continents unlocked-- so theres an avatar project increase mod which is helping a bit because i was playing stupidly haha

cons-
does have some bugs- possible memory leak? it stutters sometimes and seems to slow down at times

certain aspects of gameplay seem wrong or were left bugged-
for instance vipers can grab you through a building when there is a wall between you and them? physically impossible and no they don't teleport you...
htting or missing seems a bit odd- ive had multiple times where i had a 100% hit ratio and they dodged it? shouldn't that be impossible if its 100%??
there was something else but i can;t remember- ill update if i remember

timers --i realize its supposed to be hard and all but these timers are kind of annoying-im not saying take them out but maybe adjust them a bit more to the level of difficulty?


final rating for me would be a 8/10-would say 9 but i think they need to fix the slowdowns and optimizations first

i have really enjoyed it though because it is tough to not die all the time now-ive saved and restarted idk how many time now XD

Pros--> squad mode with bots= the bots are actually comptetent and are actually a lot smarter than blops 2 and some other games, i have seen some interesting behavior that they exhibit
single player=decent storyline
extinction mode= extinction is interesting enough because of trhe jumping aliens... much more of a challenge than shuffling zombies because of that

pro and con--> the maps are somwhat large

cons--> really poorly optimized for pc graphically, i mean i am running a $1600 gaming laptop with high end graphics and lots of ram and its like only on medium settings...

now i don't recomend this game... get blops 2 or hope advanced warfare is good

nice tower defense game, looks nice, plays pretty well, there is some grinding to get money and stuff to get enough cards to level towers up but its a cool system the way they do it, i recommend this game to anyone who likes tower defense

Great game-play, nice graphics, awesome fun, CRAZY storyline but WELL worth the money.

as a side note the violence side of this game is a little extreme but at times the violence is somewhat humorous... the way they did it works well most of the time

really fun sandbox game. absolutely crazy fun because it goes all over the place: zombies, futuristic laser weapons, gang fights. so much to do and destroy. One of the best sanbox games i have played so far!
