I've always loved OFF and this is no exception. I feel like things have been dumbed down and made a little easier, though I also did all the secret bosses and whatnot so I guess I'm a little overleveled.
The soundtrack is mostly hit but there is also a lot of misses. Zone 3 namely has some questionable music choice for the first half. Japhet's theme lacks zero of the intensity or sorrow the original had. The secret bosses have especially lacking music, and some of the battles are so piss easy you can't fully enjoy them.

This being my, I think, 20th playthrough throughout my life? (I have lost count) I gotta say the game hasn't lost its edge and the new touches are much appreciated. Love the new aspect ratio art by Mortis as well. I'm a little sad that I'm done with it already, but it never was a long game to complete.
This'll always be my favorite RPGmaker game (even if it is on unity now.) I can't wait to read OF.

Of course if you're not wanting to fork out 20 bucks to fangamer, the game's free. I just bought it to support Mortis, hopefully at least some of the cut goes to him.
I recommend this game wholeheartedly. Play OFF, you won't regret it.

It's deeply troubled and my thoughts and feelings on it fluctuate from time-to-time, but my enjoyment of and love of it does not change.

I hope things only continue to go uphill, but knowing Tripwire, that's wishful thinking.

I really can't think of anything other to say than: yes, buy it.
It's 5 bucks, tons of fun, what've you got to lose? (aside from 5 bucks and a few hours of time)
The gameplay's the real meat & potatoes, the story's dessert, and it comes together to make an incredibly enjoyable and replayable experience. You haven't seen everything until you've 100%'d the game, and I aim to do so.

If you buy it and end up not liking it, I'll kill myself, THAT'S how confident I am in this game.

this game is only remotely enjoyable with mods that improve the driving and enemy responsiveness to match that of gta 4's and yet because it's rockstar these mushmouth morons update it every 5 seconds which results in things breaking and a total reinstall. whaaaaaaaat. everrrrrrrrrrr. not even worth my time anymore.

I don't really have anything much to say other than it's got a really engaging story that keeps you guessing and hooks you in. The way things are playing out currently, there has been extremely bold decisions from what feels like so early in the story. I have high hopes for the future but will keep expectations low at the same time.

For 25$ a pop, if you're able to keep the mystery under wraps, yeah why not. It's like reading a good book.
Music's pretty good too, but a lot of the times it's just going to be some filler track that acts as white noise.

The gameplay on the other hand can be fun or extremely tedious. Heavily backtracking reliant if you want to see and do everything, which isn't really my idea of fun. The fights tend to be pretty unique and entertaining, some of them will have you cursing a certain someone's name under your breath though. In general, gameplay's pretty hit/miss and tends to be tiring once you're halfway through the chapter's gimmick... exception being 3, I had a lot of fun with that one.

I'll be looking forward to seeing how this continues to evolve and conclude.
