Tower Defense Meets Roguelite "Deckbuilder" Meets Tetris.

I used to love Tower Defense games but they have fallen with me over time, but this one proves to be an exception as it has fresh new takes and twists to some old ideas.

Quick Facts:
- You build and control monster path based on how you build
- Deckbuilding is just for the shape/size of the blocks you put down and their bonuses.
- Towers you accumulate throughout your run.
- Each tower can be upgraded once to 2 choices.
- Each character has a different feel and playstyle letting you explore different strengths and weaknesses
- Unique Elements of different levels keep the game fun and interesting
- All Around a great game

This game is great.
It is Overcooked as a Roguelike, adding in strategy and automation to the mix with many choices in a very tight game.

Great Solo and better with friends, this game hits a sweet spot of efficiency, time management, and organized chaos.

This game is fantastic. Quite a bit of strategy in it for a bright colorful silly game.
It takes you back to being a kid and playing a Trading Card Game.

While certain cards and strategies can feel a bit busted, you'll need to feel busted to beat the game.

Not all strategies are balanced though they continue to work on different archetype viability. Some archetypes can't do well in the end game, but as long as you get get to the mid game and change your deck up, you can make it through.

Look for things that scale up and build up cards that have all the requirements for the big payoff and put them all on one card, that way you know it will trigger at full potential, even if it costs a lot of mana (candy) to play as you can save it between turns and eventually get stickers to reduce cost or stickers to put on other cards to give you candy.

Absolutely love this game.
If you like deck builders, this game is likely right up your alley, especially if you also like the option of playing Co-Op with others.

The majority of complaints I've seen is the number of DLC, which I think is currently fine, but it is close to the time they should be working on the second iteration of the game rather than DLC now.

My friend really wanted to play this game but I didn't really know much about it and it didn't look enticing at first.
We pushed up the difficulty to the hardest difficulty, as that is what we play most games on.

Even playing the first couple of hours, I wasn't drawn into it that much and it was a little punishing on the hardest difficulty.

This game surprised me and got better the more I played it and ended up being a game I really enjoy.
I got more friends into it as well.

I made another character because the journey while leveling was that fun and I am likely to make additional characters as well.

Great open world game similar to the open world aspects and building with other games in the survival open world category like Valheim, Minecraft, Enshrouded, etc.

It thrives with exploration, objectives, bosses, and now Terraria monsters!

The Pals are cute and interesting items which you can level, customize, breed, and put to work in your base to automate it.

You can bring a team of pals with you and have one active to fight alongside you to help you defeat enemies and capture more pals.

Lots of upgrades and different ways to play.

I was sold on this game as a Turn Based RTS, developing your territory by my friends.

I think I should have done additional research before playing this game.

Each turn feels not very impactful at all, a lot of turns I was just passing.
Taking 8 turns to make a single unit is excruciatingly slow.

I also felt a lack of player agency as some of the upgrades were seemingly random.
For example I passed on the first bronze working or whatever it is called. Next time it came up it wasn't there.
I took navigation early, but other people went further in navigation and in sailing even though I was trying to push it.

If it were pay X resources to research something new in a category, and you choose between 2 or 3 options, that would give you more agency while still having some randomness.

We played an 8 hour online game, some afk's and taking it casual playing other games in the background even.
We geared up for war, getting ready to attack and backstab each other. It was the super slow buildup that made this point in the game finally exciting and interesting to watch if the results would be worth the slow tedious gameplay....

Then.. unexpectedly... The age resets. We lose all of our units, some of our diplomacy, and all but our capital is now made a town instead of a city...

It was like restarting the game on an already played map.
This was not expected, even from my friends who are veteran Civ Players hated this.

It's like having to restart the game midway through.

If you are a new player, note that this can really dampen your spirits especially with the slow pace of the game.

The thing is, I tried to refund this multiple times, but since I played long enough to get to the terrible part, which is more than 2 hours in, I was unable to get a refund because of this even though I never intend to play this garbage again and it was a waste of a purchase (purchased at full retail price upon launch)

Fantastic game with a ton of strategy and difficult decisions.

4 Classes each with multiple unique strategies to play.

Deep challenging gameplay with a lot of replayability.

If you like magic you will like Magic Duels. It is very similar to hearthstone. I wish the deck builder was setup better, but it works and you can make fully customizable decks unlike the other duels games.
