A game with really strong and good atmosphere, all the characters and monster were a bliss to see. There were several moments where I just stopped to take in all the atmosphere or snooping around everywhere, looking for secrets which I still didn't find many.

Was this game shorter than their previous ones? Maybe, it still took me 9 hours to finish from start to finish...

Was this game better than the previous ones? I'd say so, while their previous games had this really closed linear feel to it, REANIMAL had more open feel to it, it didn't feel like following a narrow path, it felt having more freedom to explore.

Would I recommend this game? Absolutely, even if the 40€/$ seems a lot for it, I'd be really happy to support the devs on this for giving us an absolute banger of a game.

Bought this game roughly 2-3 years ago after seeing PirateSoftware stream the development of the game and game looked interesting enough. Got into the game and that interest somehow vanished - no biggie, I'll just wait until some major update is out and there's more to the story... I was wrong.

Hearing that this game has been in development for 8 years or more and really sparsely gets updates makes me think that he might be just abusing the Early Access feature of Steam. PirateSoftware also releasing a 2MB update after Steam released a thing that would mark the game if it hasn't gotten updates for awhile so he would get rid of that tag makes it look even more like just a ruse to get money easily on unfinished product that is barely worked on.

I'd strongly advice to avoid this game and spend it on any other indie game that actually gets updates and/or is finished/in early access.

Note: This review isn't meant to crap on the developers or discourage people from playing this.

This game felt more like a tech demo than anything that could add to the Half-Life lore or feel like full length game. The graphics are as what Unreal Engine offers - Beautiful but also quite performance hungry, as I had to adjust few of the settings.
Is it faithful to Half-Life 2 movement and gameplay mechanics - Hard maybe. There were few points in the game that felt quite distant from being Half-Life 2, movement felt like it was close to it but how weapons work was a bit iffy on my end.


In the end, is this game worth playing? Yes if you have nothing else to do as Half-Life fan or looking for a quick game to play through

Ran into "gangesters", started a fight, kicked they asses, last guy went flying. I approve.

82 hours in, still haven't finished it. Game's amazing so far.

You're review bombing only causes issues, problems to devs, who has no power over where they new Metro: Exodus will be.
You can literally preorder it from steam and play it on steam. Hell, maybe even other "Key" sites will have the preorder keys to use on Steam.

Totally would recommend it for everyone who loves half noods anime girl on their screen. Not a big fan but whatever.

I have to recommend this game because, im being "attacked" by Paladins fangirl.
