I'll start off by saying, I have never played much Oblivion before, the game always felt weirdly clunky to me, in a very mid-00s way that I have never been a fan of.

The Good:
Oblivion Remastered is, from my understanding, a good bit streamlined when it comes to attributes and levelling, making it more forgiving in terms of how you can assign your points. It also definitely has some combat improvements, even if still janky.
In terms of setting, Cyrodiil might seem a little generic, but it's a fun place to explore, and a lot less desolate than either Skyrim or Morrowind.
As for the writing, I definitely enjoyed the main story, as Martin is a likeable character, but Shivering Isles was neither here nor there (Sheogorath has always been a little too "lolsorandom" for me). I did like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood a lot though, the latter being the standout for me.

ALSO, ARGONIANS LOOK INCREDIBLE IN THIS GAME.

The Jank:
I absolutely love the radiant conversations, they often are nonsense and trigger randomly when NPCs bump into each other, sometimes with several of them overlapping. Additionally, the combat is a bit of a mess at times, leading to a lot of fun and cheesy exploits.

The Bad:
THIS GAME RUNS LIKE ABSOLUTE ARSE.
I am above recommended specs, and whether on low or ultra, my framerate won't be stable without DLSS turned on. It also has frequent graphical glitches. Also, while the game crashes less often than Skyrim for me, it still crashes randomly at times.

And importantly, as of now, there is no official mod support.

Despite all that… I still think Oblivion Remastered is worth buying… if your PC specs are above recommended, that is.
Maybe wait for a sale, grab it 25% off, and say goodbye to your social life for a week or two.

More than just a nice model, Teto has unique animations and props, and is also voiced on top of that.

Hexen is one of the best games ever made, so the fact that this is now playable smoothly out of the box, for everyone, on every platform, is kind of incredible.
Heretic is good too.

(UPDATED: 21/08/2025)

Yeah, so, I always thought Pinball and some of the new decks looked horrible, but now the suspicions about the use of AI generated imagery is fully confirmed. No matter how good the gameplay feels, I really can't recommend the game unless it's removed and replaced by real human art.
It's fascinating how the it managed to get listed with no disclaimer.

A great bonding experience, where you will also learn that none of your friends can be trusted.

If you expected concept art or anything of the sort, this isn't it. It's pretty much just stills from the cutscenes. It's not worth spending 5.85, let alone 9.75, for content already in the game.

I don't play a lot of beat'em ups, but PBBG has satisfying gameplay, great presentation, and fun anime girls, so I found it really enjoyable.
However, this doesn't feel that different from the original, so I don't know how much of an improvement it actually is for people who already owned it, but for anyone who doesn't, this is an easy pick.

It's hard, but the gameplay is extremely satisfying, the pixel art is gorgeous, and the soundtrack is a banger.
Extra points for Hatsune Miku as well.
