I havent played a lot yet because I had to go to bed, but the gameplay is unlike anything I've experienced. Even though I can't understand what they're saying yet, they still have so much personality and each one is distinct.

As a horror fan I quite enjoy the aesthetic, and while I wouldnt call it scary-scary, I have found myself spooked a couple times by well-earned jumpscares.

Mr. Crawly is my best friend. We're gonna get soft tacos later.

if you liked OG Megaman and OG Megaman X, you will adore the gameplay of this game.

It is HARD, but it is FAIR.(Except for one specific room in the 2nd world but that's a personal gripe)

There is a huge roster of characters and the game encourages the use and swapping. You can turn on and off passive abilities, and deactivate certain characters and magic from the quick swap menus, so if you only need, say, three characters for a level, you don't need to swap between a bunch of others to get to them.

The NPC interactions are a lot of fun. They don't have the unhinged charm of Earthbound or Undertale, but they're still immensely charming, and talking to NPCs have a functional purpose, too, as you gain more max health through doing them favors!

It's a good game for a quick put up and put down. So long as you don't suck like I do, each level shouldn't take more than like, 5 minutes. Dying is more of an inconvenience than a major punishment, but it does set you back to your previous checkpoint, which sometimes can be a few rooms away.

So far, a nice and solid 8.5/10 for me.

Werecleaner is immensely fun and has a bangin soundtrack. The game is very forgiving in regards to stealth, but still penalizes you in a way that slows you down and runs the risk of an extremely entertaining and self inflicted chain reaction.

The art style is adorable and the little clocks over the co-workers head, telling you when they're about to move, is such a massive quality of life feature that I adore. The titles of the messes tell a fantastic background story and got a laugh out of my friends and I each time. The climax was extremely difficult but despite how many times I failed, I didn't feel myself getting irritated, as figuring out how it worked was part of the fun. I had just jumped from playing Fear and Hunger before booting this and I'll tell you, that last level got me harder than F&H did.

Each level takes 5 minutes at absolute tops, and is so easy to pick up and put down that it's really good for a quick 15 minute gaming time between bouts of studying or cleaning.

I only have three complaints.
The first is I loved it and I want more, but I know the story was wrapped up pretty solidly so I get why it may be difficult to expand it while not undermining the original experience.

The second is, as a left handed mouse user, the default control scheme is very lefty unfriendly. That said, even then it wasn't so much of an issue that it impacted my gaming experience in a notable way - just mildly inconvenient at worst.

My last complaint is the actual game window. I have this issue a lot, where if I want to play in windowed mode, I have: Tiny AF box. OR. Too Big To Fit The Screen So Its Cut Off. Basically forcing me to play in fullscreen because the little box on the upper right that would let it go bordered window fullscreen' is inactive. I don't know how easily this is fixable, but having it is so good, especially because my computer is older and if I tab out of a fullscreen game, sometimes the whole shebang just crashes. This isn't a dealbreaker; again, just inconvenient.

TL;DR

Looks Cute, fun as heck, awesome final level. Soundtrack sounds great, characters are awesome. Mild quality of life issues outside of gameplay that are not a major problem, and certainly not one that should stop you from playing.

10/10

Early Access Review
Absolutely short sighted decisions made by a dev team unwilling to just suck it up and work with modders properly. Deaf and HOH players, as well as players who use mods to avoid being crashed, ripped, or bricked, on top of other mods that offer accommodations for players who need them that is unavailable in the core game, are all getting absolutely screwed.

Easy Anti-cheat is an easily bypassed piece of laggy garbage that is going to do nothing but punish good players and taunt malicious ones. This is a platform that lives or dies based on its community. How about you listen to it?

A year late to the party but hey.

Holy crap.

I want to play it again, but I feel like that defeats the whole purpose of this thing.

I got chills, and I was asked questions I really didn't want to answer. And a few I'd never considered and really had to think about.

This is wild. It's cheap so it's worth your time.

Glitchy at times, and definitely unforgiving if you build your runner wrong. Ultimately a fun and immersing story with various routes around problems.

So a friend of mine showed me this game, branding it as a "Chrono Trigger Knockoff" [He was not aware of the full contents of the game and was going off surface gleans]. I can say very much that, aside from the main character's resemblance to Schala, and an overall time traveling theme, this game is nothing like Chrono Trigger.

The music and soundtrack was wonderful, the platforming was wicked solid, monster design was awesome. Combat was definately fun, though[and this may be because I played on easy] combat felt TOO easy. I threw all my upgrades into the Iron orb and I destroyed pretty much everyone with the Hammer spell. I might play again on normal or nightmare. The story was good; I enjoyed it a lot, especially the diverse representation of sexual and gender orientations. My biggest complaint is that this game was too short. I found myself very disappointed by how short the game was, destroying it in only 11 hours with NEARLY 100%. There were also times where I was at the mercy of the RNG [Silver Ore and Eel meat, off the top of my head] to do some quests, and it took me about an hour cumulatively between the two alone.

Honestly, I had fun. A LOT of fun. I found myself discovering mechanics on my own, exploring and experementing with the mechanics [Stopping time and hopping off enemies is the best] to reach new and hard to access places made it all the more rewarding.

All in all, 10/10 game. My complaints are ultimately not deal breakers, but I'd be all over some [reasonably priced, 10$ for a soundtrack? Come on. :/] DLC that might add some new story or more gameplay.

This game is what seems to be a mildly successful first attempt at someone using an RPG maker engine. Overall, however, I feel I must give it a 2/10

[MILD SPOLERS BELOW]

Graphically, I'd say it sits comfortably at a 4/10. While utilizing mostly RTP assets, there are cases where the creator clearly made something somewhat custom. However some effort in finding more reasonable face graphics would not have gone arwy.

Audio is a 5/10, though again it seemed to be mostly RTP. For the most part well placed, there were a couple incidents where changing the music would have given the scene more depth and intensity.

Programming is where the game starts to trip over itself and has me giving it a 2/10. Glitches were present both graphically and situationally.

Story/Interactions is the make or break in this case and I'm afraid the game broke hard at a 1/10. The general premise of the story, which is 'girl spends one day in the lives of some elderly person and choses their fate', is a very interesting one with a lot of potential, however this is where a lot of the shortcomings lie. While initially giving off an 'always sometimes monsters' feel in the beginning, it's quickly made apparent that you have a very small amount of game impacting choice. Most of the time I felt Iwas running blind with no direction, and the main 'antagonist'[if we can call her that?] has less personality going for her than a silent protagonist.

Of the four people's who's lives you take part in, I feel as though the depth and effort put into them were horribly skewed. On one hand, you have a hallucinating woman with too many cats where you can have some measure of choice in their fate, and a decent amount of development in who she is; on the other you play a nurse before randomly popping into a kitchen with a grumpy and slightly sexist man who you can then poison. In the latter example, you never even learn his name or the story. It felt as though it was thrown together in just a small handful of minutes and I still don't understand how supposedly poisoning a man in a fever dream before death made an impact in real life?

IN CLOSING

I only paid .20 cents for this game on a sale and while it does have a small amount of replayability and I did chuckle a couple times, I do feel as though this game is not worth it's full asking price of 10$. The rule to go on is a dollar an hour of gameplay, and had I paid full price I would have been sorely shorted.

I would not reccomend this game in it's current form, however if the developer went back in and did a reletively large overhaul, I feel as though this game has the POTENTIAL to earn it's price tag.
