Either you find yourself still being a bit Neph on the inside, or you realize you've become an Unc. This is the ultimate test amongst compatriots to see which one are you.

This is a solid game, especially for trying to be something like an Elder Scrolls game.

The game wears its inspirations proudly, some dark souls, some elder scrolls, and a few other RPGs.

Honestly, this is a game worth trying out for yourself and seeing if you like it. I didn't think it was a spectacular mind-opening game, but I wholly don't regret the time I spent on it getting all the achievements, and seeing the different story beats.

I've seen different reviews say it doesn't have enough side quests, or this or that from Skyrim. But I 100% Skyrim, and besides the fishing achievement, this was more fun.

If you are looking for another Bethesda-like that isn't from Bethesda, this is really really good. It is more linear, and I actually appreciated that, but exploration was almost always rewarded, and a good chunk of the quests gave me a chuckle or an eyebrow raise of "huh, impressive"

There is some weird comments about bullet sponges, game is too hard even on normal, having to change difficulty. I did not experience that whatsoever once I went all in on whatever build I was going for. I've tried a bit of melee, and you can have crazy sustain and damage with melee. Those reviews feel more like self-reports for the ability to make a build more than anything.

This does go into my main critique, the game does get REALLY easy the more stuff you get, but it's a neutral one. For story reasons, it makes a lot of sense the way your character grows and the power that comes with it, and honestly, it does feel good in that final stretch with the amount of damage you're able to put out. If you're the type of person who doesn't like power ramps in RPG's, of which many RPG's do, this one might not suite the type gameplay you're into.
That is due to my main critique magic feels too powerful, and kinda boring, I used the same spell (And it's 1 upgraded variant that has basically the same animation) throughout basically the entire game 3/4ths of it. I think the game shines more in its melee combat allowing you to actually engage with enemies than whatever build I used.

If the devs ever make another game like this. Not even in this world, I'd love to see the ability to modify spells like you could modify equipment, or even upgrade spells in different ways. You get so many awesome melee weapons, armor, etc and there are a lot of spells, but I could only find a few that I had fun with. Summoning is pretty cool though, no complaints on that. There are a lot of awesome summons.

Overall, It's definitely worth the full price, but on sale it's definitely worth an experience.

After 100% all the achievements, this game does what it sets out to do very well: Be a fun and arcade style shooter

There really isn't much to say about the game, you kill zombies until you die, upgrade, and repeat. The fun of the game wears off after about 8 or so hours, but the final unlock weapons are fun to use while you grind out the 30k zombies.

Would highly recommend a game where you just want a fun twin-stick shooter.

After getting all the current achievements in the game, I would say that this is an incredibly solid tower defense that blends its rogue-like elements very well. The price tag to fun ratio is great, and the mechanics of mazing enemies and managing economy is legitimate well done and fun.

I would say the biggest critique is that some items seem incredibly busted and required for some of the hardest achievements in the game and some gnomes feel like must haves due to their upgrades. E.G. Archer gnomes having an ignore armor upgrade with their range and the strength of proper mazing of goblins makes them some of the strongest in the game. I've had success with other gnomes, but archer's just seem to be the best, and not that they're too strong, but that the other gnomes feel too weak, especially knife gnomes, maybe I'm missing something though.

Manure is basically a must have for any long standing runs due to the buffing plants and the ability to maze cacti with it and yams are such a great economy item that I feel I'm just gimped if I don't get yams and their respective upgrade in a run. I do believe all rogue-likes can have their super powerful items, but definitely some items feel overshadowed over others.

Overall, game is absolutely one of my favorite tower defenses in a while with great challenges especially getting certain achievements and managing resources. Even with broken combos, there is luck and a general mechanical flow to knowing when to build and when to save that I haven't had in a game in a while. Definitely recommend the game

I rarely do reviews.
This DLC is honestly a disappointment in terms of Fromsoftware design and content.
Sure the DLC is BIG, but it's a lot of empty space. There are 2 areas that are almost the size of Limgrave with 1 item each, I'm not joking, 1 single item and it's an upgrade to a really unused talisman (The extra health one and some other one I don't remember.
The padding is surreal in this expansion. Areas with almost no rewards, just good visuals. The base game had many areas where going the unbeaten path was rewarded with a dungeon or a cool weapon or something, but most of the rewards in this game are cookbooks, that's not even a joke. Many deadends with nothing in them, many 'secrets' that ultimately grant nothing.
Exploring really isn't rewarded, the new upgrade materials are cool, but ultimately kinda meh.
The whole DLC could have been 25% smaller or less and be far more enjoyable.
The bosses range from decent to the worst Fromsoft has ever done. One boss is just 3 phases of the same exact fight, some people argue that's cool, I call that lazy padding.
The final boss is the most egregious of modern Fromsoftware boss design that they've ever put out. Constant visual vomit and nearly unreadable attacks. It's doable, but you will have to pull out cheese for this one.

I finished this DLC in 25 hours, did 50 of the 58 'bosses', I didn't kill all the furnace golems and a few of the basic enemies but now with a name bosses. I did all of the major bosses, and most of the rememberance bosses were pretty decent. And at least we got Igon out of this DLC for memes.

I did play in co-op, so that shortened a lot of time, but I'm glad I didn't play solo, because I would have hated exploring this DLC without someone to talk ♥♥♥♥ with about another damn cookbook.

Get this DLC on sale, it's not worth 40 dollars.

I've played this game twice with this review. Once when it came out on gamepass, and now once on steam. This is one of the few CRPGs that have actual co-op, and it's really fun. HOWEVER, huge huge bolded however, the co-op is still very buggy, save often and be prepared to reload a fair bit depending on how the game decides to treat your session.

The game is great despite this major flaw, the combat, the story, the levels, are all great. There is controversial opinions regarding some of the DLC fights and content, but I personally found the "very negative" cult of holy detonation DLC not that horrendous. The fights were fine and the story had its moments. Before anyone asks what difficulty we played on, my friend and I played on Supreme Jerk, the hardest.

Surprisingly enough, the hardest difficulty was only hard in the beginning, the game got easier and easier as we played and gained in levels. My friend and I did the DLC's last, first cult, then steeltown, and it wasn't much harder. We did not look up builds or party comps, but as long as you follow a core tenet of 4 skills per character and max barter on 1 person, you'll have a fine time, and of course, low levels of animal whisperer on everyone.

This wasn't really a professional review format, just my general thoughts and non-spoiler opinions. There is some weird writing choices in specific spots but on a second play through some of them were less weird knowing what endings there are.
Besides all that, my only caveat would be not recommending this game if you don't have the patience to reload like my friend and I did, but if you want a fun CRPG with a close friend of yours, this is definitely the game for it.

I've yet to fully complete the game as of writing this review, 66% done, but spoiling myself on how much art is in the game, there is much less compared to the first. That alone disappoints me for a half smut half game purchase. The stamina and baggage system, despite adding difficulty to the game, just make the game more frustrating than actually fun. At first I enjoyed the added difficulty, but as you do the dates over and over again, 48 dates total, you start feeling more and more dead inside. A lot of the features I enjoyed in the first game are gone, text messages and having to actually get to know the girls to get more points. I'll eventually finish the game and update my review if I have any new feelings about it, but I doubt it will change after getting past halfway, I'll probably be even harsher based on the reviews that I've read about the end and there being no post-game content like the first.

Also, unlike the first game, many of the characters are pretty awful people. Where in the first game there were definitely flawed individuals, this one has some straight up just not good people. I know it's a smut game, but man it loses some of the charm of the first.

Overall, if you liked the first game a lot, you'll probably not like this one as much or even at all. Double the price for half the content.

This is a really fun and entertaining game....
However, the games bugs start to flare up more and more the closer to the end you get.
In my final 4 hours, I had 4 crashes and 2 softlocks.
For my first 10 or so, I had maybe 2 or 3 crashes and no softlocks.
I still recommend and since there is a very lenient save system, it's not all that bad as long as you save often.
