I really want to love this game but there is so much about it that's still in an abysmal state.

- The deep desert is just poor in its entirety - feels like PvP is still in its alpha phase. Schematics loot system for end-game gear is diabolical and borderline meaningless.

- PvE Enemy scaling in DD is just bizarre. Spent 100 hours getting to end game and gearing up for cool interesting dungeons? How about the same dungeons with the same enemies, but we give them 20x more health, lock you in a room with 15 of them, and have them one-shot you for no discernible reason? Just f***ing lazy, frankly.

- The hagga basin map is filled to the brim with abandoned rotting bases. But do they disappear once they fall apart? Can you salvage supplies from them? Can you destroy them at least to make room for new players? No to all of the above. Enjoy sitting in the middle of the biggest litterbox you've ever seen and have the decaying remains of players bases be a permanent, immersion-breaking reminder of how catastrophically funcom have f***ed up the gorgeous world they created.

- And the biggest insult so far is the 'MAJOR UPDATE DLC' they just released. Half-baked questline that sends you on fetch quests back to places you've already visited, a reskinned vehicle that adds literally nothing to the game, and a 'building set' that is 4 pieces you can barely build a base out of and can't use in the end game. At least when you sold cosmetic DLC for Conan Exiles it was an extensive, interesting building set with accompanying cosmetics. The audacity you have to release this as the first DLC and call it a major update is disgusting.

Could've been, could still be, one of the best games of its generation. But predatory monetisation has once again ruined it.
