Early Access Review
November 2025 review update:
The game has become so incredibly greedy, it’s not even fun anymore. New factions and cards are super OP so that people buy into the events. Then when it ends they nerf them down to the ground. Rinse and repeat.

The main game mode is now “skirmish” a +2 power per turn fast game mode. The game loses most of its flavor and complexity. It’s now all about slamming fatties as fast as you can.

New player experience is abysmal.

Every update brings new odd, unexpected changes to the game that gear it more and more towards P2W.

Everything in the game is made complicated and confusing. So many in-game currencies, events, battle-passes, premium this, generic points for that, etc. It’s annoying and often confusing. They’re making the game’s economy sh!t on purpose it would seem.

Sad. A great game killed by a greedy company.

My original review:
I've played Hearthstone and Eternal Card Game for years, and Warpforge has become my go to CCG over the past 2 weeks.

It is more generous and new-player-friendly than Hearthstone. You're able to get your free cards, free wildcards, or a free packs in campaign rewards on most days, by playing 5 to 10 games at most.

30 card decks, 2 copies of each card allowed, 1 for legendaries. You start the game with 2 power. You have a 2-cost leader power card that returns every turn. There's not much randomness or BS card draws. It's straight to the point and it works very well. The factions have interesting cards and specific mechanics, and they all feel different.

The devs listen to the community feedback, which is very good. I'm excited for the future of this game. Definitely recommend it.
