Yknow those old creepypasta land games? That's what this is but much more competently put together. Its littered with *mostly* horror references both to classic horror and horror legends but also to new age internet amd indie horror. Theres a whole section where you basically just play Ao Oni its kinda awesome. I really like the initial presentation, before the origin of the "creepies" is revealed, of how old classic horror which is much more streamlined and consistent in its archetypes is off put by the wierd ass, all over the place, and kinda silly nature of a lot of internet and indie horror. Just a very fun idea to play off of and I think it does a good job maximizing on that.

The game also seems really genuine about its love of stupid horror gimmicks and cliches. In fact its just generally a really genuine and sweet feeling game. You can tell that if anything it was made with a lot of love, care, and those fake blood packets. And a very dense Halloween/autumn night vibe permeates this game even when I first played through it in the middle of summer. Just masterful vibe crafting all around.

As a game though the thing i loved the most was the party member system this game has. Its kinda my dream party system for an rpg. Theres like 30 somthin guys you recruit over the course of the game by doing little side content and missions and they all chill in a little café together where you can get extra quests from them to expand on thier character and stories. Also the game is really really cool and awesome and makes a universal level that all characters share so you dont have to worry about leveling up separate characters to use them. In fact you shouldn't really have to worry about grinding at all. Its kinda got that lisa the painful system where there is a limited number of enemies you can fight over the course of the game, so as long as you fight everyone you see you will be leveled up enough for all the main story/side content bosses. Plus, because there are enemies that you'll only fight once, they sometimes come with thier own little gimmicks. Which allows for much more ways to make fight dynamic than just elemental RPS. And the element RPS system the use to still chill an unique I guess, but outside of bosses fights it can be kinda underwhelming. Probably a consequence of the games format, but its mitigated by the whole no random encounters set number of fights thing.

Something that isn't chill though is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ shrink shroom. Its a good example of what the only real big problem that some quests and puzzles in the game have. How the shrinkshroom is introduced it seems like it might be a really rare item that can be used to reach secrets and extra loot and stuff, but you have to be careful when you use it cause you dont know when you'll get another. In actuality its just a copy and paste-able "puzzle" where the game goes "Wow its a small door thing you need to enter to progress, that means theres a shrinkshroom nearby. Go find it now." Kinda like those "puzzles" in some horror games where it isn't actually a puzzle you just need to go grab a key thats just on a table in the next room over and bring it back. I guess its not just a horror game thing, but it very much feels like a 2010s horror game thing to do. I guess its kinda fitting then in a sense, still kinda underwhelming though.

I'd say the best Act is 2 just cause its the most open, being the first actual chance to really expand your party, and explore the world. It also doesnt have that drawn out railroaded segment at the start of act 3. Oh yeagh, the game is separated into acts deltarune style, but unlike deltarune when you finish an act, except act 0, you are actively inncentivized to reexplore the previous acts area to recruit new characters. Which might just lead you to loot you hadnt picked up, or a fight you might missed or even some secret special bosses tucked away. And then once you find those secret theres more secret stuff for finding the secret stuff and theres other secret areas and bosses and loot for doing other things. This game just has a really healthy amount of side content, like a lot of it. And even though none of it is to difficult except a very specific piece of very post game content which is designed to be obnoxiously difficult, its still very enjoyable doing the side missions and seeing the side sights.

All in all just a really really solid quirky Earthbound inspired rpg all around.

I'd say top 5 party members:
5. Rosette: she's got a revive ability AND an fp heal way before any other character does which kinda makes her an inherently valuable early game support, but she falls of in late game due to having a non existent damage output and other characters covering her niche. Also she's a silly goat.

4. Bolt: he's the only "canon" party member I ever actively used. Hes just a solid textbook tank. Defense buffs, self healing, attack redirection. Hes got it all. Also he's a big sweety for a guy who was borned 10 minutes ago.

3. Plum: AWESOME GOBLIN LADY. She's the truest glass cannon. One of the fastest characters in the game, and packing some crazy potential damage. She's also one of the only 2 candy element characters.

2. Wendy: I swear this girl has more dialogue during other characters quests than others. Though, that might just be because she was in my party til the end of the game as one of my primary damage dealers. This ♥♥♥♥♥ really can land 5000 damage crits like its nothing.

1. George: Keep Gambling.

This game is really cute, on the surface but the plot is surprisingly un cute for the games aesthetics.
Also it should be noted that this is not a poker game, this is a visual novel the pokers there to pass the time, and to distract you. And let me tell you my attention deficit ass was not paying attention. I was to busy reading and would occasionally glance at my cards and just think it'll be fine, and it was usually. The poker isn't that in depth, or at least it doesn't feel to in depth and you can kinda bully the ais out of most hands, especially in a 1v1. But theyre funny to watch talk amongst each other, and with you. Most of which is a part of an actual story which is what really elevates this game above things like the telltale poker games. Though the post game seems kinda uninteresting after you get through the main story y'know. Feel like there might be some people who complain about it being to short or something but I still had fun so I didn't mind. And poker is fun :p

I got bored just waiting for 2.0. The game mechanics already fascinated me in the first and I just had to inspect it closer.
I'm a gamer you see. A gamer. You see.
I'm a gamer you see. I have a condition you see.
Most people have already played through the series, because I have a condition you see.
I'm a gamer.
I have a condition.
Now that I've played through the game freely, it will be good to see what will happen in the future...

Its a nice little pocket sized terraria. Which was pretty fun. After not having played terraria in a while it was nice playing through something like it and it's short enough that you don't have to invest much time into playing or researching it. I also love its style its very comfy and soft and warm.

I'd say it's biggest issues are just that it is game wise is that it is just compressed terraria. It feels like there should be or could be more than what there is, but it also feels to small to fit anything in it. But thats not really its fault, y'know. Also the gravity shift hurts my head sometimes and if you reach the center with out a clear escape it sucks getting out and your better off just dying.

Actually I'm surprised they didn't do much with the core itself. I mean its where you get crystals which are used for magic items, but the core itself is just kinda there. Maybe if the dev want to make it a larger scale thing maybe make so after beating the "final boss" you can destroy or enter or just do something with the core that leads to more content. Like a new world or reality or something. Not that it really needs more content. I just think that this could make a neat base for a larger game to be made from it. :3

Pretty cool kinda rough around the edges but neat. It does kinda drag a bit at the start and end yknow when theres two few enemies spawning at the start its kinda underwhelming, and at the end theres to many enemies you have to beat before the level ends but I still thought it was pretty fun.

Also achievements are like bugged or somethin so that kinda sucks if thats something you care about.
