I've owned this game for a long time, so I'm not sure why I'm just now choosing to write a review. Portal 2 is an excellent game with virtually no flaws. Both the campaign and the coop are amazing, utilizing a simple but effective concept to create challenging but fun physics puzzles for the player. What's more, the community-made test chambers give this game constant replay value.

I definitely recommend this game to everyone.

A fun and challenging series of puzzles with an intellectually intriguing narrative.

What can I say? Half-Life is a classic. Sure, it has some crow's feet given its age, but if you're a fan of fast paced shooters with several weapons, linear level designs that pack in enjoyable scripted sequences and puzzles, and a hidden but intriguing narrative, you'll find no better example than Half-Life.

GORN is a super fun VR game, but as others have said, there's not a ton of content. As a result, you'll only get a handful of hours out of this, but you'll definitely have fun. It's important to note that GORN still offers more content than a lot of other VR games, but the fact of the matter right now is that with the overwhelming majority of VR games you're simply not going to be getting enough content to fuel dozens of hours worth of playtime, since it's an inevitable limitation of VR right now.

With that out of the way, the price is pretty reasonable. If this over $30, I'd have recommended you wait until a sale to buy it, but I feel $20 is a very reasonable price for this game.

GORN is a gladiator simulator that lets you beat the ever-loving ♥♥♥♥ out of cartoonishly proportioned men in cartoonishly violent ways. It's not only incredibly entertaining to be able to beat one gladiator to death with the corpse of another, but it's a good workout as well. Of course, this is a game where you REALLY want to have a reasonable amount of playspace available, because you will very likely end up breaking something if you do not. The locomotion method feels pretty intuitive - you just swing your arms side to side as if you were walking. It takes a little bit of getting used to in order to do it quickly while also avoiding attacks from enemies, but I still think it's the best locomotion method for a game like this. The game has a decent variety of game modes, each of them offering a unique mechanic for brutal murder. That said, you'll probably get about 30 minutes of play out of each one before you get bored and decide to move onto a different one. There's also a party mode that lets one person play in VR while another person uses a controller to play as a gladiator, but the person using a controller is at a severe disadvantage of account of the controls being absolute horse ♥♥♥♥.

Regardless, I'd give this game an 8/10, and would recommend you get it - doubly so right now since it's even cheaper than normal for the next 17 hours as of the time of this review.

Pretty much everything that can be said has already been said - the game is fun when people play fairly, but the userbase is toxic as hell, and you have to deal with:

1) Rich people buying assloads of shark cards instead of actually earning money in the game
2) Hackers tormenting people for no reason whatsoever and RockStar doing basically nothing about it.
3) The absurd weaponry that makes it impossible for lower level players to fight back in any capacity.

Until RockStar addresses these issues (which they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ won't) I advise you to spend your money on something else.

There's not much for me to add to this which someone else hasn't already said. Even so, I'll reiterate a few basic points.

In essence, when the Steam Link works the way it is supposed to, it is pretty damn cool and useful. It's a small device which lets you stream from your PC to your living room or anywhere with a TV and internet connection. It's definitely more practical than a 50 foot HDMI cable. You DEFINITELY want to have a wired connection through both your Link and your PC for the best experience - you can go wireless, but you may have to deal with some input delay and general latency problems. If everything in your setup is optimal, you can play pretty much every game through the Link without any problem - if you have latency issues, though, the games I've noticed which are most affected by it are first-person shooters, which isn't surprising to me since they require close to zero input delay in order for you to play them effectively.

You can use a keyboard and mouse with this, but if you're going to use the Steam Link you may as well use a controller with it for convenience. I recommend the Steam Controller personally - you can read my review of the Steam Controller if you'd like to know why I prefer it.

All in all the Steam Link is cool and I recommend it, but be warned that if conditions aren't optimal you may encounter a lot of problems with it.

Early Access Review
This is easily one of the best VR games on the market. It's a competitive VR FPS, and it's absolutely glorious - the weaponry and locomotion of the game makes it incredibly immersive, the graphics are good as far as VR goes, and the game has quite a bit of replay value, especially with the frequent updates being implemented. I can't recommend this game enough - it's fun, immersive, and cheap. If you have a compatible VR headset, get this game. It's worth it.

This is easily one of the best VR games on the market right now. It beautifully showcases just what VR is capable of and how far we've progressed. The premise is simple, but awesome: When you move, time begins to move as well. Therefore, the more slowly you move, the more slowly time goes. You have to manage this while carefully shooting, stabbing, and punching your polygon opponents. Of course, the game is amazingly well crafted, and I give the developers props for it, but I think it's this premise that goes a long way in making it so much fun. After all, I believe that VR shines brightly when it gives us the opportunity to engage in an immersive experience that would be impossible to ever have in real life.

I cannot recommend this game hard enough. It's not a super long game, but it's packed with enough fun to be worth your money.

This game is an amazingly cool concept with genuinely unique and cool game mechanics.

That said, it is poorly optimised.

There is a tremendous framerate issue which I know a large number of other people have brought up. Furthermore, for some unknown reason, there is basically no clean way to exit the game. When you do, it becomes stuck attempting to exit and there is no way to do anything else or stop it without manually exiting SteamVR. I have seen several others bring up this issue, and while clearly many do not deal with either of these problems, they're definitely prevalent enough to warrant caution.

I don't know if the experience is better for Oculus users, but if you have a Vive, definitely be warned that this game is buggy.

That said, it's also free. For me, the issues above are not quite enough of a deterrant to keep me from playing, mainly because it's just so much fun. Again, the poor optimization really detracts from many of the good aspects. I'm recommending this game, but just barely.

7/10, would be/will be an 8.5/10 if and when the developers address the issue.

Firstly, DOOM is very reminiscent of retro shooters, which is to be expected since this is a remake of the original DOOM. However, it executes it extremely well. Fast pace key-hunting from level to level while carrying an ass-load of weapons and never worrying about reloading? This is the way FPS gaming should be.

Plot...? Pause the game and read the descriptions if you want to know the plot.

Doomguy doesn't care what the plot is. Doomguy smash monitor and kill zombies. Doomguy want kill everything in sight. A clean energy source that could have world-changing implications for the future? ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥, Doomguy smash everything. Doomguy not care about your petty endeavor to better society.

With all this in mind, there is only one thing left I can say: buy this game and get to smashing skulls.
