This game achieves things I don't know how to put into words. An immediate all-time-favourite. It's everything I love in this type of storytelling; I just need people to play it so I can talk about it oauuughghgoug

Great little game with a real heartfelt sensibility of y2k era nostalgia/reflection and Existing Online that goes beyond just aesthetics into characters and story that I found surprisingly charming and relatable. The gameplay starts a little slow, but picks up into a ton of fun when you've got some upgrades and you're high velocity space-surfing the cyberdunes to sick jams. Same goes for the boss fights; they get more fun as they get more difficult. it goes into 3d bullet hell territory by the end, but gives you the tools to handle it.

Overall; great vibes, great tunes, super fun characters and story that actually has Things to Say about Online. Gameplay that starts slow imo but picks up quick into a fun and unique experience. If it looks like your kinda thing, go for it!!

I really wanted to love this game, and for the first hour or so I think I did - but after a while the poorer design choices nag at me in a way that really spoils the fun. It's frustrating trying to find where to go and what to do when those goals are inconsistent and the game doesn't do a good enough job at providing guidance. There's only four levels, and whoever decided the last of those should be a stressful, frustrating and unfun cat and mouse sequence in the dark, with multiple complex steps the game gives no hint of and that you have to restart entirely on a mistake.. well, at that point I wished I could get a refund.
The performance and load times are relatively poor for me, but more importantly there are easily repeatable game breaking bugs that should have been fixed by now. This in combination with the level design and pumped out feel of the pacing of the game, combined with an end sequence cutscene that looks like it actually might have been fun to play just to taunt me after the frustration of level 4.... well... the game just doesn't feel crafted with love, but pushed out just to get a sailable product. I really expected more, and wish I had nothing bad to say but for now, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's on sale for 15 bucks or less.
