While currently a bit barebones, the fundamentals are very strong. It feel polished compared to other Valheim-likes and the addition of Runescape like features make it distinct. I especially enjoyed that magic is not all one singular thing, but rather a few disconnected mechanics. So even if you prefer melee, you can take advantage of runes and in the future, prayers.

While I could speak positively about the game, how smooth it plays, or how interesting the artifacts are, I would rather mention how much you can get out of the demo.

The demo is essentially the full game at an earlier point in development, if you are tempted by this game the demo is well worth engaging with. It will give you an experience nearly as big as the early access version (per the time of review)

So give it a shot, but just keep in mind you can't transfer the save. If that is a killer for you, the game has a Developer Menu (CTRL+Backspace) that will let you give yourself a kickstart on the bought game.

Its ok

Its mostly an improvement to first surge.

It has beans, it has colors, and it has guns. What's not to love?

Its a fun time waster but not very deep. Good for having something to do while watching a pod cast

Quite fun with a good squad.
If you want to pick this up I recomend you join a clan, so you don't have to pray that your squad can work together in public games.

An excellent battle simulator, where tactics and group behaviour is so much more important than the individuals skills.
Best if you get into a good community for online jolly cooperation.

There is a surprising amount of content to find in your travels, while most will be "boring" upgrades for your rover you will also find plenty of more "spicy" content to keep you on your toes.

If you are looking for online gameplay then you might be dissapointed, it used to be great. But now we have jet powered bikes that can take to the air and has instant lock-on missiles. Hackers run wild and the only thing they really do against them is to remove the money they hack in, don't want anything threatening the sale of shark cards after all.

So as it is now, great with friends. Not so much in public, and dont even get me started on the grinding to get the usefull stuff.
