What can I say, it's Monster Hunter

I'm gonna be biased real quick, this game is already a high ranking game to me, I love this franchise and I've playing since the OG MonHun


Some gripes I have with the game:
-Monster roster is lacking
-Not taking into consideration the fact I'm a MonHun veteran, this game is by far the easiest in the franchise
-No Elder Dragons, yet
-Convoluted multiplayer system
-To add to above gripe, Gathering Hub should have been a day 1 thing, making multiplayer less convoluted than it needs to be

Update: with the performance fixes Capcom rolled out, the game runs even better (I never had problems in the past with performance anyway, so ymmv I guess)

Edit: All the crybabies review bombing the game because Mare was taken down needs to realize, modding was never a right. I don't understand how people can sit here and cry about something against the ToS this comfortably and personally, I'm glad they're leaving, people never should have treated XIV like Second Life or VRChat in the first place. Good riddance to the gooner population :D


Decided to pick this up a few months ago due to getting bored with Destiny 2

I think I made the right choice.

The amount of friends I've made in Eorzea in the little time I've been playing is wonderful

Since I started playing I have: cleared everything up to Dawntrail, met cool people, sat around in Limsa for hours on end and met cool people, met my first FC in a dungeon, left said FC cause they dissolved it, AFK'ed in Limsa some more where I met my current FC leader, who runs an amazing little amusement park in Shirogane, I am now in an all Lalafell band which is affiliated with my current FC, pretty neat.

There's a lot of content in this game, meaning there's really no shortage of stuff to do, at least in my case, seeing as how I was a wee sprout three months ago.

For anyone hesitant, FFXIV is very new player friendly and from what I've gathered, everyone I've met has been nice. YMMV depending on your DC, since I was new when I started, the only DC I could make a character on at the time was Dynamis.

Punching my way through procedural levels has never felt better, Monk = best class.

Honestly? EAC integration is going to kill the game, there is absolutely no reason for an anti cheat to be in a social sandbox game. With the implementation of EAC, a kernel level anti cheat, mind you, this will kill off the wholesome/QoL mods that actively protect you from the crashing and ripping of your private avatars. If you genuinely think this will stop people crashing your game, boy, how wrong you are. If you genuinely think EAC is going to stop malicious actors, you're in for a surprise. I heavily advise that you cancel your VRC+ sub and uninstall, if they won't listen to the community, they'll listen when their flow of money is disrupted, as they say, money talks.
