Definitely one of the best games ever made. I'm genuinely sad that i did not play this sooner in my life.
The actual turn based combat is a little bit outdated compared to the later games but it's not something that you can't get used to,

10/10, I'd say it's worth it even at full price

Multiplayer/Coop doesn't work because you need to create an online profile which is impossible because you need a valid CD Key. Activision's internal CD keys ran out and it seems like they can't be asked to restock them so you're basically getting a dud copy of the game whenever you buy it off steam.

If you already have this game on steam, the only way to play MP is to buy a sealed physical copy of the game and use thE CD key it came with to create a working profile.

DO NOT BUY THIS EVEN ON SALE!

Activision silently shut down the Squads and Extinction gamemode servers which are the only reasons you'd buy this game nowadays (apart for the painfully short but good campaign). Multiplayer is dead and it has security issues.

Campaign is short but sweet (The story kinda sucks tho). Multiplayer is an SBMM sweatfest unless if you're planning on playing ground war 24/7. Spec Ops is suprisingly active and it's a lot of fun.

It's worth it if you buy it on sale for like 20 bucks.

Hasn't aged that well compared to the second game but it's still worth a shot to experience the amazing story.

Pick it up on sale.

100% worth it if you're looking to play the campaigns, firefight or spartan ops, either solo or with friends.
If you're only interested in playing multiplayer then i only recommend buying Halo 3 and Reach because none of the other games are active when it comes to getting matches even with crossplay enabled.

Basically a steal if you can get this for 15 bucks or less regardless.

This is a great game and i highly recommend you to buy it (on sale preferably).

I’m leaving a negative review because the Steam version of this game is sold without working multiplayer. None of the core online modes function — you just get an error every time you try to connect. Ubisoft only enables multiplayer if you buy the game through Ubisoft Connect, which makes no sense since the Steam version already requires Ubisoft Connect to launch. If you own the game on Steam already, the only workaround is to buy the Ubisoft Connect version, play through the intro, then refund it so that the multiplayer works on your Steam copy.

The game also forces mouse acceleration, so you’ll need to install a fix to make aiming feel normal (Google watch dogs 1 mouse acceleration fix on github)

Game's pretty good overall. There's a decent amount of weapons, attachments and gear to use out in the field and i do like the AI difficulty sliders which add more customization to the game.

The bad side is the horrible performance (thank you, UE5) and the fact that there are only 2 maps available currently as of the time i'm writing this. The ingame tasks are kind of boring and very samey as well.

Buy this on sale or just wait a year or two for more location and task variety.
