First off, no idea why it says less than two hours played, I played and beat this on a Steam Deck. I played this originally on PC but too many frames was causing many issues and I was too lazy to limit the frame rate via Nvidia control panel. However, I switched over to a Steam Deck and it ran flawlessly. Even the Steam Decks mouse pad (who's name is evading me right now, again too lazy to look it up) was configured perfectly and I don't remember having to change anything. Now give me Conflict: Desert Storm 2 please, that is one of my favorite games of all time.

For an EA product, Project Silverfish seemingly delivers more content (that is meaningful) than many "finished" games. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and feel like I have barely scratched the surface in my near 12 hours so far. Although I am nowhere near done playing right now, I am really excited to see where this one goes. If you enjoy S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-like games you will probably enjoy this one too.

The fact that I see reviews complaining about the price (full price $11.99 and it's on sale all the time) is hilarious to me. This game is far and away worth (to me) significantly more than that. There is not much "structure" to this game, it is a true sandbox basically at this point, but there is plenty to do. If you need a carrot on a stick to keep you pushing forward, that really is not here yet. There is however, tons of loot, player level and skills to increase, a pretty large map to explore with many locations, bosses to kill, trading, near free reign base building, etc. In a age where triple A slop costs us $70/$80, games like this exist, and cost significantly less, for much more enjoyment, at least for me. In it's current state, I love this game, and I look forward to seeing where it goes.

Minus the annoying shader compilation every update that takes much too long to complete, this is a fantastic game and I am thoroughly looking forward to 1.0.

This looks incredible so far and honestly have not had any frame issues like others are talking about. I have a mobile 4060 and with DLSS set to performance on high settings, I am getting a consistent 60 with no dips yet.

Editing this to a thumbs up, but leaving my original issue with the game at the bottom. I had a great time with this regardless of my issues with the melee combat.

I am not having the same experience as everyone else apparently. KCD 1, for me, was so much better in every way that I have experienced up to this point. The combat in KCD 2 feels like a watered down version of the first game. Removing 3 of the original 7 attack zones makes no sense to me. The combat seemingly lacks variety now. The whole system for every fight I have encountered is now swing, block, swing, block, repeat. Maybe it opens up more later on, but 8 hours in and every fight has felt the exact same as the last, which is getting very stale already, and I'm not sure I have the patience to wait much longer. I will say the locking during combat and switching between multiple enemies is vastly improved here though, so points for that I guess.

Edit:
After finishing the game (and overcoming my brief anger), I have decided to change my review to positive, in part, because I was wrong. This game really is something special. I realized shortly into the 3rd Chapter that some of the issues I had with what was happening with the story could be, at least, partly rectified. By the end of the game I was convinced that this absolutely should win Independent Game of the Year. It should be a crime that it is not even nominated. Drova made me feel true emotion at different points throughout its story and that says alot, to me, about how much it made me care about certain things. Support these Devs and play this game. I can confidently say that is now one of my favorite RPGs of all time and I am excited to see what happens with this in the future.

Original Review:
I want to start this off by saying that, for the most part, I love almost every aspect of Drova. The combat is rewarding, every part of the world feels handcrafted, and there is so much to do if you feel like exploring a bunch. However, the biggest negative (for me) is how you are given seemingly meaningful choices in side content. Then the main quests, at least to where I have gotten so far, are basically completely on rails for the sake of pushing the story forward, outside of picking one of two factions. Both of which I hate, because of where the story is pushed to in the 3rd Chapter. Also, it would seem that I completely skipped the 2nd Chapter because I over-explored in the 1st. And because of missing the 2nd Chapter, it would seem that I was unable to do something else with a side faction in the 3rd Chapter.

Realistically, I'm just angry at how the events have played out so far and will end up changing this to a positive rating in time, after I have completed the game (probably).
