Got a really lucky spawn that enabled me to get a power grid set up on the first couple of days, around day 3 the evac shelter I started with got swarmed with over a dozen giant trapdoor spiders and killed the NPC and I both nearly instantly. Also got an achievement for dying 99 times even though this was like my 5th life so that's cool I guess. 10/10 would recommend

Didn't know much of what to expect getting into this game, but for a walking simulator that's centered around perspective and self-reflection it's exactly something I needed.

Even now as I type a review, at 12:38 in the morning, after having completed the game, I'm at a loss for words. This game is less of a game, and more of an experience, or a journey. It's not going to be for everyone, but I imagine everyone can find something useful as a takeaway from Davey's narrative. I think it comes down to mindset - a willingness to listen, to hear a new perspective on the things that motivates people to do what they love. I'll shamelessly admit I got choked up with emotion, especially at the end as he concluded his narrative and told us what this experience, this part of the journey was all about. I'm thankful to have been gifted this game by the person I consider the most important at this point in my life, it's given me a lot of new thoughts to reflect on and it feels like it's created an opening for me to push forward in my own work where I thought there was no path before. Thank you John, and thank you Davey. This experience means a lot to me and I doubt I'll forget its value anytime soon.

I have wasted 4000 hours of my life on this game. Thank you Valve for releasing a game that teaches me not only to hate myself but to never rely on my teammates when I queue into new lobbies. Thank you for making such a goofy game with an aura of charm to it that's been the gift to keep on giving to me. I've made a lot of new pals playing this game and I've grown to like the community and respect the history behind this one-of-a-kind title. I hope that the future for the ongoing bot crisis looks better especially with the promise of an upcoming summer update, but in good faith that Valve will (eventually) deliver I'm leaving this review positive to show my love for this title and the developers :)
