I cannot recommend the game in the current state that it's in.

First and foremost.. The game is in the buggiest state it's ever been in. Crashes are more frequent, audio bugs out constantly, enemies that didn't used to phase into the ground now do.
While I do commend the devs for cutting on the size of the game (around 120GB to now 23GB), I cannot say the same for the performance of the game. It doesn't matter what specs people have, most of the time they can't break 60 even with VSYNC off. There's also the issue of terrible balancing right now, but I'm not going into that, because it's too much.

It's from my understanding that in the first year of this game, performance was FAR better than now. I started playing the game a ton early 2025. The game had good performance. I would always hit 80+ FPS at high graphics, but in May when the invasion of Super Earth came, performance dropped HARD.
Performance has only been getting worse every major update. I should add that my specs are by no means bad. Some say "BUT YOUR CPU". The game doesn't just go from running 80+ FPS constantly to sub 50. That is an optimization issue, not my CPU.
To make matters worse, I get the same framerates that people with 5800Xs, 9700Xs, etc. with 3080s and 4070s get. Almost every time it's locked to 60-70, and again, VSYNC is off. There have been many complaints in their Discord about this exact issue.

The second major issue is the devs. These devs have been harboring a toxic positivity community (even in their Discord), to the point that it has now boiled over. Somebody challenged the devs to play D10 Oshaune to make them see how buggy their game is. The person, who donated to charity regularly, would let AH choose which charity he donated to if they did the challenge.

People on reddit responded harshly (as they always do) by doxxing him, getting him fired from his job, and getting him banned at the place he was doing volunteer work. Arrowhead's response was basically 'Let's be nice, not rude'. They didn't go after the doxxer, they didn't ban the doxxers, they didn't even attempt to get justice for the man. The other reason Arrowhead is at fault is some of their own community managers are moderators in the HD2 community owned subreddit, and they just let this happen. Not only that, but they (and the other moderators of that subreddit) have been trying to sweep this whole situation under the rug.

There's all sorts of videos on YouTube that go in greater depth with this situation than I am. I recommend watching them. As for my review, it will stay negative until Arrowhead takes fault for the poor optimization and the toxic positivity community they've been building.

I did the task of killing Chained Ogre, not with Miyazaki's Flame Vent cheese, but through my own power and grit (only took like, 4-6 tries). I then gave up at Gyoubu, not because I can't deflect him right, but because I kept fighting the lock on and camera.
I have never, in any FromSoft game, lost lock on a boss this much. Almost every time I grappled to him, I lost lock. When I was up close swinging at him, I would sometimes lose lock. One of the times, I grappled, lost lock, he ran behind the debris, couldn't lock back on, he came up over a mound while swinging, still couldn't lock back on to line up the deflect, and got steam rolled.
Don't even then get me started on the garbage camera. I'm not going to waste my time on a game that I have to actively fight to do basic gameplay. On top of that, I was having problems with it detecting DS4Windows, because it was defaulting to whatever the first controller it could find was.

P.S.: The music in this game is ♥♥♥♥. It's not even stressful music, it's just annoying. I literally popped on Elden Ring music to lock me tf in.

This game is an overall great experience. Most of the negative reviews are about wanting it to be a game that it's not. As another review mentions, the original Space Hulk board game is walk down a corridor, purge, do your objective, walk down another corridor, purge, etc.

This game does exactly what the original board game set out to be, nothing more. It's not L4D, it's not Back 4 Blood, it's not Vermintide, it's not Darktide, and it's CERTAINLY not Space Marine 1/2. It is its own, slower-paced horde shooter experience. Also keep in mind Streum On is NOT a AAA studio. The voice acting is going to sound off, and the visuals are going to have their flaws. If you enjoy old games for example, you may not see this as a problem, rather a charm.

Let me put one thing first- The campaign is awful and half-baked. Instead of pointing out all the numerous flaws, I recommend people watch TheRussianBadger's video "HEAVY FLAMER HERESY | Space Hulk: Deathwing".

Where this game truly shines is in the co-op multiplayer. AI is useless and you need to bring a balanced arsenal in the campaign, while multiplayer is the complete opposite. You can go full-on heavy flamer and obliterate everything up close without much of any repercussions, because your teammates can take on any enemies at long range should they be equipped for it. And always, ALWAYS bring a Chaplain.

Another thing- You're not made of paper mache. You're a Terminator fighting the Genestealer breed. Keep in mind that a single standard Genestealer can easily kill a regular Space Marine, yet here you are taking on dozens. You even take on Broodlords, the apex of the Genestealer breed. You ARE a walking tank, though it may not feel like it because the enemies you fight are, from a lore perspective, intended to be strong.

Personally, I can't say anything about performance issues. I've never had any and I've only played the enhanced edition (which from what I've heard has much better performance). Sure, there's UI bugs on rare occasions, and the audio also bugs out from time to time. Truthfully, I don't see these two as big issues. As long as you steer clear of the campaign and manage to play with randoms or friends, you'll have a blast regardless of the minor problems.

Overall, yes, this game is jank and clunky in some areas. The same can be said about a lot of games. The original Stalker games are Russian jank, and the original Dead Space often feels clunkier than this game. Does that make those games bad? Heck no. Don't go into a game with high expectations. With some games, what you see on the page is what you get, nothing more, and that's okay. A game doesn't have to be innovative to be fun.

Quest area design is garbage and the devs do nothing to fix it. If anything, they've made some quests worse by adding more anomalies. Black holes are an orb in Stalker, while they're a pulsating white blob that disappear every other second in this game.
Hearing anomalies is near impossible because the rest of game is so loud that when you turn stuff down so you can hear your friends, they're just too quiet. You're not allowed to bring your squad into quest areas either. This ruins the multiplayer aspect..
They show you all these different anomalies in the beginning, but then it just turns into gravity type being the main anomaly type used. Dogs also deal WAY too much damage compared to everything else.

For a free game, it's still better than a lot of others. It's not pay to win, and most of the complaints anyone has are design oversights. I will cut them some slack because this game is from 2014 and was originally a Minecraft mod. I think in turning the mod into its own game they didn't have the best idea on what to do.
The game is getting an overhaul in two weeks on July 10th 2024. My hope is that the devs are aware of all their design oversights and have been accumulating them over these years into this overhaul. I'm hoping this overhaul fixes many of my complaints.

Really what makes me give this a negative review is that. . When you play a bad game, you expect it to be a bad game. When you play a good game that has a handful of flaws with it, those flaws are going to stick out like a sore thumb. Depending on where those flaws are, they can make or break an opinion on something. I think as a whole this game is great, it just has stains that prevent it from being fantastic.

A lil funny seeing all the people complaining about P2W even though the game is less P2W now than it was back in 2013-2015. I've put in less work now than back then and have progressed so much faster.
Hundred coins is no problem to get now, but back then you could sit there for a day and not even have that. Not to mention I've been getting free gems left and right. Easy missions that just give you free stuff? Shoot dude, those didn't exist when I played years ago.
People have just forgotten how P2W the game actually was in its first few years on mobile. My only genuine complaint is all the cheaters. Outside of that 1 complaint, game is def less P2W than I remember, resulting in progression being much easier. I recommend it if you want a good nostalgia trip.

The game is much better on PC than on mobile. It's not p2w. This is coming from someone who progressed fine before buying the Legend season pass. Really wanted the 25th Ann Countach (Loved it in Asphalt 8). The other rewards were just a bonus. You can earn tokens (paid currency) easily just by doing season events. Earned over 1500 tokens and a couple cars from doing them.
One thing I miss from Asphalt 8 are earned avatar icons. I'd rather be a real gamer and flex that I completed challenges for icons. I also prefer that Asphalt 8 lets you buy any vehicle you want at any point as long as you have the creds. In 9, you have to earn/buy cards to unlock a car. Seasons make this easier so you're not getting most of your cards from card packs in the store.
Now we just need Asphalt 8 released to Steam. I'd download it in a heartbeat, Asphalt 8 just has better racing mechanics- actual laps, higher speeds, better stunt and drift mechanics, etc. A point to 9 is that I think it had a good visual overhaul when coming to PC.

I'll have to change my opinion on my review. While I think the game has potential, it just hasn't reached it yet, and DICE has had months to improve the features of the game, but they've been slacking on features thanks to bugs. It's an okay game, I love the gunplay, but honestly, I prefer Battlefield 4 and 1.
It's a dying game all ready, because it's got too many negative reviews. There's no point trying to ride out this $100 pre-order wagon if it's gonna get shot down just some months after release. Pre-ordering this was a mistake, definitely, however, I would consider buying it again if it ever went on sale.
BF 2042 isn't worth $50+, if anything, it's worth $20-30. I don't recommend this game anymore unless you just wanna have fun with the gunplay.

Picture this, you take a Warthog and a Ghost, and combine them- boom, Sparrow. You take a Spartan's high, floaty jumps, and you combine it with an added jump boost- bam, Guardian.
Ever wanted your grenade to explode numerous times? Well now that can happen. Was assassinating a Spartan and breaking his neck not enough? You can throw Thor's f***ing hammer with the middle Titan solar tree.

I think it's a perfect sequel to a game loved by millions. You got more augments, the story is just as rich as it was in Human Revolution, and the combat feels better in some areas. The biggest improvement has been on stealth, as the system isn't as buggy as it was in HR.
This game has fantastic graphics on top of all of that, and it makes sense, since this game was released at the golden age of modern graphics, 2014-16. Other great examples of the time are Dark Souls 3, Assassin's Creed Unity, Battlefield 1, etc. I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Human Revolution.
