Wish I could recommend, as the game is fun when there's action and you have to defend from approaching aliens, as well as the story is interesting to follow. Progression / Marines upgrades is also enjoyable, BUT !

Unfortunately the game has many bugs and unpolished and annoying mechanics (For an example stress mechanic.. Feels dumb seeing your marines start to panic and gaining debuffs after killing few foes, hmm). Also, disagree in adding into the game human enemies (at least the way they are made is dumb, don't want to spoiler on that)
There are moments in the game when I have faced a bug that prevents me from going on, so I had to start over from last auto save (there's one I had to replay 20-30 minutes), as there is no save option at any given time.

In conclusion - If you are ready to face the bugs AND the game is on a huge discount AND you love alien universe - you can give it a try, otherwise skip this project.

Like in every extraction shooter game - too many rats.
The game should have a first person mode.

Am playing since 2016.
There were hopes game developers would fix the game balance someday, rethink the perks, skills, however in reality they just add more and more unbalanced stuff on top of already unbalanced game, which in the end, by this day of November 2025, feels impossible to fix, unless they decide to completely re-imagine the game.
I have never recommended the game for my friends, nowadays my recommendations against playing it are even stronger.

Side note, the only time it's worth playing the DBD - 2vs8 mode, it's actually fun.. Maybe because it's far from original DBD 1vs4 with never ending disbalances, hm.

Early game, survival elements, visuals, storyline - great, but cannot recommend in the current state.

The game is very raw, buggy and unfinished. There's simply lack of meaning to farm/grind once you get the latest armor/weapons/vehicles (which you do by flying dozens of times for 10-30 km to farm a resource in both directions)

The idea of the game is good, but really requires to be polished and provide players with more activities, like battlegrounds (PvP) or raids/dungeons (PvE / PvP)
