One of the best games I have ever played, yet to find anything that can compete within its niche.

I love Team Fortress 2, it's my favourite game of all time, and is consistently fun when I get into a proper match.
However, that is the main problem, when I get into a proper match; the game is overrun by completely automated accounts that join games, instantly kill actual players (they often ignore other bots) and spam the chat. One would expect such an issue to be a temporary one: one that disappears over time. It's been several years of this now.

Like most players of this old, old game, I love it to death: there is no alternative to it, and I find endless amounts of joy from playing it, interacting with its sphere. Unfortunately, Valve does not seem to feel the same way, and has abandoned this game other than continously monetizing the remaining players.

Of course, there are other issues within this game, but beggars can't be choosers, I suppose. Personally I don't see a chance this game ever recieves proper updates again, but one can at least hope for basic maintenance for a product advertised as supported by the developers.

Until Valve actually expresses genuine interest in fixing the issue of botting inside this game, I can't in good faith recommend it. And that does not include vague promises that do not get fulfilled, after all, we recieved a tweet last time the community tried something like what is currently going on, and next to nothing changed.

As many reviews write, unfinished yet had potential. Can't in good faith recommend buying this.

This game, for a free horror game, is amazing. Haven't finished through the singleplayer story yet but have played through co-op with a friend and had a blast with both the normal co-op campaign and the manhunt campaign. Can't recommend playing co-op before singleplayer if you don't want to be spoiled as some details from singleplayer get mentioned in the co-op.

Multiplayer can be a little unfair at times, especially if you game over and respawn with very few supplies so you almost get stuck having to cheese the game (me and my friend that played through this once got stuck having to smash two enemies with branches for about 10 min straight until we could continue, having to rely on ai flaws).
