This is an amazing game. It was and is pretty buggy, but it is definitely a lot better than it was before. I’m leaving this review since the blatantly anticonsumer decision to make PSN mandatory was reverted. That fiasco should not have happened in the first place, but I’m glad they listened and reverted this change. Additionally, it's great that they decided to buff everything. It makes the game a lot more fun.

It's an interesting game.

This game is amazing and innovative, but it just needs more players! It actually still doesn't take too long to find games, but I would still love it even more if the playerbase grew.

I've not yet finished Hollow Knight, but it's my first Metroidvania; thus, I just find it utterly brilliant.

This is an excellent game!!

Overture is the first roguelike I've ever played (excluding about ten minutes of NetHack) and it is definitely an amazing first foray into the genre. Overture's gameplay is fast-paced and demanding; though boss fights can become frustrating, the joy received when the boss is finally killed is unparalleled. The class variety in this game is also appreciated. There are four class groups (the classic RPG archetypes; warrior, mage, rogue, and shaman), each of which contains six classes making for a grand total of 24 classes. While the classes are all fairly basic (one primary attack, one secondary attack) and some feel similar, they're all just varied enough to give the game a different feel when you play through it with different classes. All in all, this is an outstanding game and well worth your money.
