Yes, it is another sandbox survival game.

This one, however, includes a fascinating lure - terra morphing the planet!

I found this immensely satisfying, seeing the barren desert world slowly transform.

Highly recommended.

I held off on this game for years, thinking it wouldn't be my cup of tea.

How wrong I was. So many things to do. And such fun to be zooming around the city based on where I live, Los Angeles. :)

The story was a lot of fun. The online experience has its hits and misses (given the amount of griefers and exploiters) but if playing with friends or solo, it can be rewarding.

Fantastic VR game set in the world of The Walking Dead.

Atmospheric, scary at times and with an interesting story.

Detroit Being Human.

I've been gaming since they loaded via cassette. Never has a game moved me as much as this one.

*** SPOILERS AHEAD ***

The peaceful march scene actually made my eyes malfunction. It was so utterly, profoundly powerful. I was leading the march and more and more were joining and remaining entirely peaceful but resolute. It was a first of its kind.

I can only imagine it must have been similar to the power felt by the peaceful Civil Rights marches when they first began and people started to hope.

I think what made it more impactful was knowing the struggle which still goes on today for so many.

Edit: I just completed my first playthrough. Wow. Fantastic. So many options for replay. I'll definitely be trying again.

Highly recommended.

Some of the reviews I read made it seem that this game is tedious, slow and repetitive.

For those who only enjoy fast paced games where one runs around blasting and/or picking up all of the shinies, perhaps that could be true.

For those who prefer/also enjoy a slow paced, complex game with a lot of heart, you should give it a chance.

I'm loving it. Yes, it is slow and difficult. That's how our evolution was! This brings unique challenges and perspective, however. We really do have to discover through trial and error as our ancestors did and children still do today. There is very little hand holding.

Last night, I finally made it to a safe place to build a new home for my Clan after many mishaps and some deaths of Clan members. It was a huge feeling of accomplishment and relief. When a game can invoke such feelings, it is a winner in my book. :)

Cheers.

Apart from the inability to crouch, jump or switch to first person (what is this, the '90s?) I'm enjoying this game. Sure, it is dialogue heavy as some have said but so far, that hasn't detracted from the game for me. The interactions are usually interesting and working out hints can be rewarding.

Skyrim is a world to escape into.

The game is still going strong all these years later thanks to generous, talented and dedicated modders. I recently returned and I went through Lexy's LOTD Guide to add many, many mods. My total in the end was something like 865. It was immense. But wow, the world is even more gorgeous than ever and with a great deal more variety and surprises.

Highly recommended.

Cheers.

A fast but fun ride. I did experience a few crashes and bugs towards the end but overall, an enjoyable experience.

I'm currently enjoying another playthrough as I bought the Season Pass a while ago and still had DLC I'd not tried.

First, I'm astonished that the game still has some bugs after all this time. That's rather shoddy of the company.

Thankfully, none have caused me any great problem and certainly haven't deterred me from playing.

It is still a gorgeous (though gritty, grimy and grim) world one may completely immerse into. I have had to try NOT to do too much settlement building this time, however, as that really tends to cause the hours to disappear for me. :) I love games which allow us to be creative.

I just completed the Nuka World DLC and must say, I was truly disappointed with the story/choices. Without being on a computer with access to the console commands, we're forced to suddenly turn our good guy character into an evil raider OR miss most of the DLC content and cause it to be over within minutes.

Thankfully, I have enjoyed all of the other DLC thus far and I still have Far Harbour to go (from what I've read, I'm saving the best for last).

Still, a highly recommended game, especially if you are able to play on a PC as there are many excellent, well-designed mods which give you plenty of customization options and can really freshen your game.

Cheers.

Terrific title.

Gorgeous graphics, clever atmospheric elements with creepy, tense moments and puzzles. Plus a story without the need for any killing/fighting.

Highly recommended.
