IF I MAY SPOIL THE FIRST OPENING CUTCENE:

You are the president of the United States, traveling across a bridge in a motorcade to a populated city.
Suddenly, a GIANT MISSLE APPEARS, AND ITS HEADED TOWARDS THE CITY!
Explosion wreaks havok on the city, the motorcade is flipped, and you, the president are thrown from your vehicle lying injured on the pavement.
Hundreds of lights appears and encircle you as you cling to life.
You TELEPORT TO ANOTHER DIMENSION.... and a kid with cat ears needs your help.

THINGS I LIKED
-I never got a Dark Cloud 3 and within an hour of playing I could sense that Level 5 still uses some of the same styles.
-The game plays great on my upper mid-tier pc in 3440x1440.
-One of Studio Ghibli's key animators did character design.
-The looting system feels fast paced, I dont mind if I get caught in a fight, because once the battle is over its a short animation and you're off again.
-The Storyline, (minus the weirdiest introduction EVER) has been entertaining, the storyline fits the scenery and general atmosphere of the game.
-Great balance of questing to grow your town, to increase your REP, acquiring new specialized townsfolk.
-The side quests have a litte story behind them, they dont feel super repetitive.


Dislikes:
-The first 2 minutes are WEIRD AF, and it was always in the back of my mind the entire game.
They dont reference it again till the end. I literally paused the game to fully take it in.
-As of now (Apr '18) it has some end game completion bugs. (Rejuvination Bug)
-The city builder has real time research, but only while the game is running. I didnt mind, it game me time to side quest, but I over quested, and now have that bug.
