one of the most unique puzzle games ever made. finding room 46 is well worth your time, but dive deeper and you could honestly spend years exploring mt. holly. whether that is worth it, is up to you. I find the amount of time it takes just to solve some puzzles even when you have the solution more frustrating than fun, but it's not like any of it is filler or not worthwhile.

Factorio is a rare example of a "perfect" game or you could just say it's a "masterpiece", it does everything it sets out to do and it does it right every time.

A nice balance between fighting and trap placement places this game above many other tower defence games for me. Upgrades feel meaningful. You're rewarded for doing well. The game feels fun even when it's easy but the challenge the later levels (at and past the bridge level) were the high point for me.

If you play this game I don't recommend doing any research online, I think a lot of fun comes from trying to figure out what does and doesn't work yourself.

Game completion time: (War mage / Normal) Six hours

This game feels like the Half-life 2: Episode 2 of Portal 2. It's built of the same foundation as it's predecessor but just does more and way better. Games as good as this are pretty rare, let alone fan works.

I went into this game expecting it to be good, but I was still blown away by just how much it exceeded my expectations. excellent puzzles that feel satisfying to solve, every room is eye-candy, a unique universe of fun and interesting characters in a story expressed without words, and really great pacing.

Very short, but a fantastic puzzle game! I loved sorting my inventory in RE4 for some reason and this game is just more of that. The game is perfectly executed in terms of presentation and controls, I only wish there was more...

Fibbage 3:
One of the strongest Jackbox games, it's very easy to play and fun even with new players. The game works well in both a friends-only and a family setting. It has very high replay value and includes a sub game (Fibbage all about you). I honestly don't think it's that good though, as it's very hard to decide what to write. However maybe with the right group it could work.

Survive the internet:
Definitely better when played with friends over family, however it's absolutely the best game in this pack if you're group is fine with rudeness. Although I do find the final round to be extra unfair, as some starting prompts (images) are not nearly as good as others.

Monsters Seeking Monsters:
If you play this in a family setting then you're the real monster. Among friends who are fine with being a bit homosexual it's great fun though. Decent replay value especially with the added player roles that get revealed throughout the game.

Bracketeering:
Kind of just... alright? It's not bad, but there are better games that Jackbox have made that do the same sort of thing, like T-KO. Replayable if your players are creative.

Civic Doodle:
This is a vote based drawing game, best drawing wins. If everyone in your party is equally skilled (or not skilled) then I'm sure it's good but otherwise there's someone that's just going to win. Again, replayable if your players are creative.

Overall:
If you are playing with friends this is one of the best packs, however with family I might recommend Pack 9 as it has Fibbage 4 and a bunch of other games that work better in a family setting.

Although it's a 2023 release, it feels right out of 2013, back when cell shaded games were in style. However it's got all of the quality of life and polish that's been built up over the past 10 years. It really feels like some kind of interactive comic book.
The gameplay is incredibly unique and well executed. It's really fun if you like rhythm games, hack and slashers, or if you just like really good games. The worst part about this game is the fact that I didn't even know about it until a week after it's launch.
