I greatly prefer this type of roguelike this game has compared to the first games. While the game did have more freedom as to what it is you wanted to do dungeon and hero hiring wise, i felt like i had too much to think about with random events, if i should hire certain characters, managing more than one team which was a bit overwhelming, and the many different dungeon types. DD2 has a simpler linear line and focuses more on trinkets and skills rather than random chance encounters which adds more skill expression and thoughtfullness into the game. When i first started the game last year it would have been a 7/10. Now? 10/10
