Absolutley broken. Impossible to have fun with this version. Multiple different restarts. Multiple different tactics. Multilpe different approaches. Makes fm2022 look good.

A massive improvement from Iron Tower over their previous games. The combat is still really difficult unless your build is designed for it but this is the approach for old school CRPGs.

It reminds me a lot of fallout 1 in terms of ambience. I think the ambient soundtrack is magnificent.

I think this a definite buy for old school CRPG fans and will please anyone who has enjoyed Iron Towers previous titles but might have found them somewhat limited.

Too difficult. Maybe the sequels are more balanced. No campaign wins after 300+ hours.

Well its about time for a review.

I love this unlovable game. It somehow hits a sweetspot for me.

I think its a combination of the these factors

Fantastic squad development
Good variation of squad types
Not much ongoing squad maintenance required i.e. food/sleep/wages
(except working for the man to deliver wyrdstones)
Awesome grimdark ambience
Real sense of danger on every mission
Sublime to ridiculous animations
Punch the air RNG moments
Curse at the RNG moments.
Somewhat obscure and leftfield PVP/tournament scene
Somewhat obscure and leftfieid modding scene.
Good PVP/tournament balance (except skaven too OP IMHO)
Time consuming/frustrating learning curve but ultimately rewarding to learn the nuances of each squad.
Bad AI pathfinding bugs that also let you cheese some missons as a result.

There aren't enough games of this style.

Decent game but can't recommend as too many problems with Rockstar Launcher. Specifically the instance already running bug. Rockstar support essentially useless for fixing this type of issue.

No idea how to play....nearly impenetrable

Probably a great representation of the board game.

Not really a tactical rpg as I understand them.

Strongly recommend research of the board game mechanics before purchase as this seems more a puzzle game than a rpg.

Avoid. Disgusting game and company. Insult to playerbase. They appear to never learn.
