At a genetic level, Scandinavian developers are wholly incapable of creating decent live-service titles.

Dune: Awakening is a poor-quality flight simulator masquerading as a survival crafting title. Every step of the experience is hamstrung by bugs beating you over the head be it the endless rubberbanding on their poor quality official servers or the perfectly normal problem of losing inventory items when moving between zones. The in-universe radio channels, which play music, faction propaganda, and radio dramas, are the only redeeming aspects of the experience. If their mandatory official servers didn't have constant, painstaking rubberbanding every twenty feet, something nice could be said about the game's movement once you start combining movement skills with the suspensor.

There are no survival elements at play in D:A. Dehydration on mild-climated Arrakis is a non-issue by the thirty-minute mark, and the iconic worm is a complete non-threat unless you're stuck rubberbanding into terrain or griefers are holding down your vehicle in PvE zones so that you, your vehicle, and full inventory are devoured by the worm and permanently lost.
The PvE is a braindead fight against the same four enemies, and it often takes longer flying out to dungeons than it takes completing them even solo.
The PvP doesn't exist in any real capacity on the first map, Hagga Basin, and when it finally does rear its ugly head, D:A PvP is almost entirely a struggle between flying bombers mauling resource gatherers on the ground. With the game's tiny render range, bombers can fire at disappearing resources in the distance whereas farmers have no warning until the explosions start. The only foot PvP is found at the end of the endgame PvE dungeons where groups camp the dungeon chest for hours.
As an MMO, the only reminder you're playing one is the occasional whisper from a gold seller. The main hub cities are ghost towns with only a few people at the auction house, and the endless exploits and duping have destroyed the economy so thoroughly that auction house prices have skyrocketed into hyperinflation that would make Zimbabwe blush. You're more likely to find human contact running around an old abandoned 2000s MMO than here.
The base building feels very clunky compared to other survival titles. There are only four limited base designs, and the fifth is being distributed piecemeal via Twitch drops. You've probably already permanently missed several pieces.
There's an unfinished story with voicework.

Deep Desert, the game's final tier and unfortunate """endgame""", gets a great deal of hate, and it's not enough.
It serves as an unfinished PvP rugpull on the earlier experience where you get to enjoy every earlier problem now with more hours wasted flying out each week to set up and tear down bases, minutes of flying between points of interest turning into tens of minutes flying between five in the furthest reaches of the map, all resource costs ballooning into much larger grinds than anything prior, and now the countless bugs and exploits are weaponized against you by other players.
Baffling dev decisions to change DD aspects away from the initial map like longer resource node respawn times and dungeon chest loot shared server wide rather than client have resulted in players adapting in negative ways. Players frequently cut off access to the scarce few safe resource nodes with building each week within hours of the new map opening, and these singular shared server chests are being farmed around the clock by exploiters hiding outside of map terrain or players logging in next to the chest the moment it returns, looting it, and logging off until it respawns an hour or two later to repeat. It's not uncommon either for the dungeon chest to be instantly looted the moment the server restarts each day at the crack of dawn, so flying out for ten minutes, demolishing waves of bloated mobs for another ten, finding an empty chest, and flying back ten minutes more is the norm unless you intend to waste hours camping.
Every design decision seems laser focused on concentrating players on the aggregate server cluster DDs into these few PvP locations, so I would never expect any promises to improve the PvE side of the map to manifest in a meaningful capacity.
The endgame schematics, resource spawns, and spice blooms in the south half of the map are both drastically worse in quality and frequency than anything north.
The singular endgame PvE dungeon on said PvE side has been bugged for multiple weeks now to register as PvP.
All this pearl-clutching wouldn't be worth mentioning if there wasn't such a great disparity in risk between the ganker and ganked in D:A.
A ganker risks nothing except a smidgen of durability damage, completely irrelevant thanks to repair exploit Funcom has been unable to fix without making disappearing inventories far worse , while the guy getting his vehicle bombed from orbit has hours of effort go up in smoke.

Don't forget to keep logging in to power up your base generators and pay your pretend taxes either.
Just a little bit more flying.
It'd be a shame if your base and every item were permanently wiped.

China Souls 2 : Feather QT Dodgealoo
If you're a fan of the usual Souls and action gameplay with a few fun twists, you'll have a good time with Wuchang.

The performance issues seem overblown compared to more recent nightmarish titles like Monster Hunter Wilds or Stalker 2. With a 7800XT/12600K at 1440p, I'm having no issues with most settings maxed.
If you're having issues, definitely turn down the usual culprit Global Illumination and his evil friends Volumetric Fog, Shadows, and Reflections till you find a sweet spot.
