Product received for free

Remastered isn't quite the appropriate term. The graphics have been updated, but only in the sense that it now resembles how you remember it in your mind, and nothing more. It was provided for free due to owning the original Bioshock, so I did not intend to complain a great deal about it.

For the most part it appears to be a ported version of the console Bioshock, due to the removed graphics options. I only suspect this is because they are releasing this upon the new consoles, and PC was somewhat of an afterthought. Physics and gameplay have not changed at all.

My only true complaint is that upon crashing, which only occurred twice during my playthrough, the game seemingly wipes the player's settings. This is especially problematic as it will change your difficulty setting. If one intends to acquire any of the difficulty related achievements, be mindful of this. Launch the game, load your save and change the difficulty back to what it was, before closing it again so that the settings save.

I unfortunately only noticed after I had saved once, forcing me to reload a fair distance back just in case. I doubt I would buy this, especially if the original Bioshock is still available. For free however, I can hardly complain.
