· The Remnant gods: These are some seriously dumb bastards. After creating humanity, they chill for awhile until it’s time to get involved in Salem’s origin. The catalyst for this is the God of Light’s refusal to being Ozpin back to life when he dies. When Salem tries to act against this, they try to punish her by forever keeping them apart. Now, a sensible diety would just chuck Salem into hell while sending Ozpin to heaven. But because it’s Volume 6 and we need a villain, the gods give her total invincibility and send her out into the world without so much as a way to keep track of her.
