A great game to be playing instead of Cities 2 because my PC is too crummy to run the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ main menu. Can't wait for Cities 2 to be somewhat on par.

CS1 itself is really solid. There are great mechanics that have been introduced across the years like Parks, Campuses, Airports in DLC, which you can now get for relatively cheap. It is not particularly difficult, but there are a couple of ways to play introduced over time with Disasters and Snowfall. The game is not perfect since there are some annoying mechanics that limit you to being always somewhat car dependent/centric, mainly pocket cars and cims bunching in one lane, but you can learn to deal with it.

Overall, the game has mechanics that largely aged well, with a bunch of (now affordable) DLC. If you also include workshop content, you'll have many hours to spend playing this game.
