An honestly great sandbox game, everything you can think of will be in this game. And if it isn't, you can make it. I've been playing this game for years and no matter how many years pass by, I keep coming back. I have had so many fun experiences with friends, and my brother on this game. I honestly cannot explain how great this game is. It's your choice to spend your money to play this game. But if you do spend your money on this, you'll get your money's worth. Maybe more.

This has a lot of potential, but it unusually buggy. Rather than a normal Pause menu just made 3D, it uses this weird 2D UI that doesn't work at all and constantly follows where you look which started to hurt my eyes. I had to use Steam Link's way of viewing my monitor just to boot a new save, upon loading in, I realized there were many settings I had to change, but when I opened the pause menu, after I let go of the pause button, the menu instantly closed. Not only that, but if I tried to open in again, Steam VR froze, after I tried around 2 other times, my steam link crashed, and I had to reboot it by walking to my PC. The settings aren't even coherent either as they put it onto the same menu you start new saves and load current saves. I couldn't even make it past the intro train before I made the decision to skip to the HL2 VR mod. There's so much room for opportunity that was never used.

A better list of my problems with this mod:
- Uses a non-functional, hard to read menu rather than using edited Valve menus
- Small amount of options that you can't change because as stated above, the single menu doesn't work. Also, because you can't change the options, left handed people like myself have to get used to right handed controls if they keep playing.
- Pause menu breaks after closing it once and in some cases, also crashes your SteamVR
- Because Menu doesn't work, I have to use SteamLink to see my desktop while on VR in order to start new saves or load current saves
- For some reason automatically enables teleportation movement rather than normal, fluid movement that I'm used to.

These were just the issues I had within the first 2-5 minutes of playing, I stopped playing after encountering all these bugs. If the developer fixes these issues, I will edit this review accordingly. I honestly want to recommend this but sadly, I just can't because of the sheer amount of bugs and inconsistencies. I hope the dev fixes these issues as I'd really like to see what HL1 in VR is like.

A great game if you have an interest in the Half-Life Series and want more content for the game without having to pay anything. Updated graphics new weapon mechanics and much more. Play it if you want but if you don't you might miss out on some game features that are in here.

Game is too easy right until the end boss fight and then its just dumb and stupidly hard. I mean they just took the Nihilanth model and turned him into a barnacle. I should've never touched this mod.

This is a great game that while looking educational, is just a horror game with a fun challenge. Each character is unique and I absolutely love that they remastered the game adding 3 new game modes and a (spoilers ahead so if you don't want that please skip this part) a secret boss fight. It shows you the new, the old, the older and the very new all in 1 free remaster. And for how much is in this game it has a small file size perfect for a small little game if you ever get bored. The game isn't easy but it isn't hard either its perfectly balanced. Now I myself am not good at the game but I like playing the game every so often to try to find all the secrets of the game even if some I cannot access. So if you like math, horror, balanced game play, and characters that makes the game more interesting and harder, then this is the right game for you!

This is an amazing game, First of all the story is really amazing the story and how they fit the new and old mechanics together is done super well done. Second as you go through the game it teaches you more about the newer mechanics and as you get closer to the end more of the new mechanics start to be put together and in the end it all comes together. Third the character's and how they're put in the story make the game a lot more interesting and funny. Finally the co-op courses are really fun and make the game easier (or harder depending on how the other person plays) and it adds a lot more to the game making the game much more re-playable. Also the community made maps add something new so that way your not playing the same chambers over and over and you have something new.
