i think this has potential, the platforming section and the boss felt really nice

the issues i had were mainly with the overall floatiness of the control and the overuse of volumetric lighting in the town section, making it really hard to recognize where i was

curious to see where this goes !

Engare is a game about mathemoatical drawings and repeating motions, sounds interresting right?
Well I played through the entire game, and here are my thoughts on it!

Positive:
+ great introduction, which made me excited to get in and start playing and seeing all the cool complex shapes I'd be seeing
+ The music is great, and so is the artstyle, kudos to that
+ the first few levels are great and show you a bunch of complex and beautiful shapes (for the most part at least)
+ the drawing tools are absolutely amazing

Negative:
- past the first 2 areas, it feels like the dev had already shown you all the cool complex shapes too eartly on and ran out of ideas for shapes so he just started giving you a bunch of basic/uninterresting shapes to make with more complex puzzles, meaning that the payoff for the harder puzzles became more and more dissapointing as it went on

- the last 2 puzzles of the game are just levels where you make the shape that you want to move on, no idea why those are main levels and not just one mode avaiable in the area of the game that let's you play around with shapes (screenshot 3 and 6 from the store page are form that zone of the game)

- the first few areas had all those interresting setups, with grids of squares moving in odd patterns and blocks colliding with each other and swapping blocks with one another making finding where to draw the sahpe quickly, except that those went away after that and the last areas became 80% nothing but rotating sticks attached to one another (the ramining 20% being circles in circles)

- the drawing tools are locked behind those main game levels, which is a shame

So all in all, the drawing tools are amazing and I have nothing bad to say about them, however I do feel inccredibly underwhelmed by the main game itself, and the drawing tools being locked behind those means that you'll have to get through them all to unlock all of the tools.

Final Score: 5/10

An amazing 3D platformer game that lived up to the expectation and was very well worth the wait

=====

This game has been announced on kickstarter back in 2012(2013?), and I've been waiting for it ever since the alpha version started getting played on youtube, now did this game live up to the hype it built up for me?

Positive:
+ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it did
+ Every world feels unique and are really colorful, I never got bored of them once in my first 18 hour playthrough
+ A lot of great fun characters
+ The modding tools given to us are just incredible, there's little to no limit as to what we can actualy make, I've never seen this in a game before

Negative:
- The first world is the one world that feels a bit messier than the rest, the focus of it is somewhat unclear compared to the other 3 worlds
- When the game ended, I just wanted more

All in all, if you're a fan of games like mario galaxy, sunshine, 64 and maybe even banjo-kazooie, drop everything and get this game right now

Diamo XL is yet another fun game from nickervision, definitely worth it

==========

I've been looking forward to this game the moment the images used in the description of the steam store page got uploaded on the dev's account, now the question is: was it worth waiting for?

Positive:
+ the games starts simple and gets progressively harder
+ the main game is really easy to understand, leaving the entire focus game up to you mastering it, which is exactly what this game was striving for

Negative:
- There is multiple players to choose from however, there's absolutely no reaosn to use any of them once you get the player that gets unlocked when you reach 15 000 points, it's just plain better (also the ennemy that gets unlocked when you die at exactly 42 points is worse than the player you start with)
- in addition, the icons used to describe the player stats aren't the most descriptive, mainly the hitbox size icon

So all in all, this is just a great little game for people looking for a game about chasing scores

Orbt XL, play "just one more game" of it.

Orbt XL is a game where every planet is being sucked into a black hole... but yours for unexplained reason (gotta wait for the story mode to come out), and in the wake of this horrible event, humanity came together and agreed upon one thing: to make a game out of it!

In this game, you float/space swim around the black hole and get points faster or slower depending on how close or far you are to the black hole (you can also get points when getting close to other planets).

+Positive Points+

+ The gameplay doesn't get complicated, which is perfect for casual games like this: you press A (or Space) to get on the outside of the area, and release it to go toward the black hole, avoid planets and get points, the end!
+ This game is highly addictive, and you'll keep telling yourself "one more game" after every death!

however, there is some issues I have with the game, and I'd like to point them out:

-Negative Points-

- The Newest planet feel a bit out of place, mainly the faces and the bomb planet, which just looks like pngs taken directly from a random website.
- The Hitbox for the plumbus doesn't seem right, I've tried it for a bit before and it felt like the hitbox was the exact same same as the other planets, and while it seems fair to have them all be the same, the shape of the plumbus is different, meaning that a lot of deaths will feel a bit unfair while using it

Overall, this is a cheap addictive fun little game, what more could you ask for?
honestly, nothing really, you get exactly what you pay for an it's completely worth the price!

this game is a must-have for people who likes roguelikes or want to get into the genre or people who just want a fun challenging game!

The binding of isaac: rebirth is a "remake" (with added stuff on top) to the original flash game "the binding of isaac", which was already huge in terms of content and allowed for thousands of hours of gameplay.
Now does this new version of the game hold up to the original?

Positive:
+ great soundtrack, the OST in this remake is completely different than the original and a lot of people miss danny b's original OST, but I don't mind the change that much, in fact, I enjoy such a change, it's always great to see devs remaking a game and changing it that much! (from an arcadey music to an atmospheric soundtrack)
+ a bunch of new items and a bunch of new synergies, making no new runs similar to the last!
+ a new path and new bosses, all (mostly) great fun! (damn mama gurdy)

Negative:
- honestly? I cannot think of anything.

I usualy always have one or 2 small nitpick on games, but I cannot think of anything wrong about rebirth as a whole, it's just a great game to play casualy and to complete 100%, I would recomend this game to anyone (new to roguelikes or not) who wants a fun challenging game to play!

Edit: You guys are all right, passive aggressive comments about how my opinion is wrong is exactly what'll make me change my mind :)

Edit 2: Disabled notifications on this review, my thoughts on this game will never change, so don't even bother

TL;DR this game could've been a great fun platformer but the absolutely unfun to use movement controls making you feel like a tank in a skating ring kills it

N++ is the sequel to the flash games N and N+
now I have never played the original games nor had I ever known about them until I heard about this game, but the impressive amount of level and the huge amount of positive reviews convinced me to buy this game, so how is it?

first, let me start with the positive:
+ the soundtrack in this game is great, definitely one of my favorite OST ever
+ they're not lying about the level amount, it's truly impressive and if you end up buying and enjoying this game, you be playing it for a really long time

and that's about it, now for the negative points:
- the movement controls
- the movement controls
- the movement controls
- the movement controls

this game might have... scratch that, it has the absolute worst controls I have ever seen on any platformer games ever
do you like ice physics in video games?
do you wish to play through 2000 level having to fight god awful slippery controls?
then this game is for you!
it is not fun to controls, does not feel responsive in the slightest, and turns every single level into frustrating chores.

this game could've been great, but I think somebody didn't realize that people do not like ice physics in video games.

1/10
avoid at all costs, just buy a platformer made by people who actualy spent more than 10 seconds working on tight controls

Yeah this game isn't fun, the puzzles are badly designed, and the last puzzle is probably the worst example of that.
There are also puzzles that are just trial and error, so you basicaly waste time trying to figure out a way to logcaly find out the info that you need to complete the puzzle, when there is absolutely none (puzzle #13 comes to mind).

so all in all, I'd suggest that you avoid this game, if you want a similar game (a series of boxes that you need to solce), I'd recommend the room 1 & 2, or if you're jsut looking for a good puzzle game, look into the black watchmen.

as of right now, this game is a good cheap bullet game game, and Idefinitely recommend it if you want a small time waster, however I feel like it's lacking quite a few thing to make it feel a lot more satisfying.

the first one I can think of sound effect: for instance, during the bosses (first boss at least), the boss seems to have nothing but a little ting as a sound effect on hit, and it's really hard to hear and not as satisfying as I feel like it should be.

another issue seems to be the lack of visual feedback: whenever you hit anything, there's not really any blinking at all, which seems a bit lacking. added as of the latest update
same thing with the explosions, they feel a bit underwhelming.

also another minor issue I have with it is the fact that your options reset everytime the game restarts, so in this case the game always goes back into fullscreen and unmutes itself no matter what

finaly, I don't know how the later bosses are like, but the final pattern of boss 1 is nothing but random shots, which feels a bit annoying considering that the first 2 pattern were actualy pretty fun for a first boss

but all in all, it's still a fun game, and I do still recommend it to anyone who likes bullet hell games!

Glittermitten Grove is a fun game that is for sure going to surprise you the more you dig into it!

First off, the good things about this game:
+ This Game is great for beginners in strategy games, as it is really forgiving (it looks like you never looses all of your fairies, since everytime winter came and all the fairies left due to the lack of food, 1 still remained and another one came back shortly after with more food)
+ The game is really easy to get into, it doesn't really have any tutorial nor is it really needed
+ the firework system, the branch weight and the light need mechanics are all really cool ideas that make the game stand out from other strategy games
+ the fact that the sword has an hitbox also gives the game a puzzle vibe, which I really like

Sadly, not every game is perfect, and this is no exception:
- I can see this game getting repetitive pretty quickly, so you'll end up making new villages pretty quickly
- The logs still go away too fast, I can only get half of the wood before they all decay most of the time
- a lot of the time I felt like I didn't know whether or not I was skipping a puzzle, and quite a few times I ended up finding somethign later on that was actualy the intended solution to the puzzle

so all in all, this is a great game despite being only about fairies that I'd definitely recomend to people looking for a fun cute little game to play!

Final Score: 7.5/10
