Wow! this game holds up surprsinginly well! my first time to finish was 3:27 with the good ending. And I'll be running through it again to unlock the rest of the content.

The game is very similiar to old school resident evil's with the pre rendered backgrounds, the camera angles, the tank controls and the overall level design. There wont be as many puzzles but there will certinally be the backtracking we all know and love from the resident evil series. There is one stretch of puzzles that can be annoying as there is no saving between them and one of the puzzles is a slide puzzle.

The combat feels really great, you'll have Square/X for your basic attack, Triangle/Y for your magic attacks or Keades Kunai Circle/B will absorb souls L1 to guard, R2 to switch weapons (as long as your standing still which can be annoying) and L2 to switch between your ranged weapons, Yeah you will have two range weapons, a Long Bow and a Matchlock rifle. Along with your basic attack you'll be able to use some directional attacks: away from the enemy and attack will do a kick, towards the enemy and attack will do a thrust if your distant and if your close you'll instead do a vertical slash starting from the ground going up. Keade has different moves so you might want to experiment with her although in my opinion fighting as her is pretty pointless, you can't absorb souls so you'll just be taking damage for no real reason.

There are three coloured souls and you'll be asorbing a lot of them! Yellow is health, Blue is Magic and Red are souls. You'll be using souls to level up your weapons and your ability to open doors which sounds really weird but it works if you know about it. You can also convert a full soul guage to upgrade a herb to medicine, An arrow to flame arrows, or a riffle bullet to burst bullets which is basically buckshot.

And that's pretty much it! just enjoy the game
