Early Access Review
Friends and I have been playing this game on Sundays for a fun game night. We were hyped when A21 came, and dove in to find better visuals, the deer wobble is now adorable, but then.. magazines, losing water bottles, status effects in one or two hits from enemies and dying so constantly that it became frustrating. Magazines seemed great until we wanted to cook basic food and barely had recipes. Wasn't this supposed to grant more freedom? If you split loot, you just lock everyone out of necessary crafts and have to dedicate people to certain things. Just an arbitrary change.

Water is the big divider lately, with people riding the devs so hard to claim "Well gosh, Josh, just drink the bad water and eat all these meals and get a net positive!", "Goodness, do you think you'd really have 500 water irl lmao", "Just do quests and get 12k Dukes it's not hard". Playing with friends is harder, now, with this change.

With status effects, I feel this update has taken an even bigger hit. What once was a seldom abrasion has become getting a bleed DoT, a concussion, infected and possibly more all at once. I went to Discussions to see what's up with that, and that's where I saw the devs locking and moving threads, berating people, and more.

The devs are cowards. They will not engage in discussion; you're simply wrong if you don't like the update.

Once you get into the mindset that you don't have to hook everyone, or you don't have to escape to have fun, the game is great. It elevates your enjoyment once you look outside the box of only having fun if you win.

Pretty good game. Story is great, and it all flows really well.

I am sad that I was a part of this Kickstarter. The dev has no less than been proven to have just taken the money and ran. Do not waste your time or money on this.

The game itself is excellent. The issues, currently (and as many others seem to have stated) lie in the game's performance. Auto-detect set the game to Maximum. However, even just getting to the title screen, I saw mouse/input lag. I continued anyway, and found that it continued throughout the tutorial zone and into the XCOM base itself.

Figuring it was just the graphical settings, I lowered it. Problem persisted and I continued to have mouse/input lag. Thought it may be the mouse itself, so I swapped to the Steam controller. Same issues.

Lower settings. Rinse. Repeat.

I would love to see some quick performance updates dished out. Until then, I'm putting this into my backlog and playing something else. Maybe this should have come to console, after all.

Absolute garbage. "Full screen" isn't really full screen. Resolution is too small, so the widescreen makes it look awful. The text is cut in the Magitek Walk titles cutscene. The game doesn't recognize the controller if you have to Alt+Tab for ANY reason.

This iOS port is lazy, to say the least. I wish I hadn't had a good deal on GMG, so I could refund this.

This game is basically "South Park - The Show - The Game". You take control of the South Park episode(s) following the Black Friday Trilogy. The game has some great humor, and an amazing story. Let's break it down:

PROS:

Great Story
Great Characters
Extensive Character Customization (unless you want to be female)
Well Written (Which is expected from Trey & Matt)

CONS:

One scene in particular was a bit over-the-top, even for South Park.
Music: There's pretty much ONE song in this game.
Length: Short for 60$.

Overall, it's a really good game. I'd pin a must-buy if you're a fan of South Park, but I'd wait for some kind of a price drop if you're hesitant.

1. Open game through Steam.
2. Open game through U-Play
3. Maintain connection to in-game server.

The main problem with this game is you CANNOT CONNECT to the "Conflux" server, in-game. Not only is it already convuluted by having to launch the game through two clients, but you have to connect to the internet to do nearly anything with this game.

This is absolute garbage. All this money spent to sit at the menu screen, watching the knight look around.
